S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Chad Joiner for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have with mental illness and addiction in my life, personal and others, so I understand the hopelessness. I love people and there is a lot of unnecessary pain in our community and country. This is the work I feel good with.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Not evangelism as in street preaching… I like to talk to people in small groups or one on one. My evangelism would be when working with people that are hopeless, mental health issues, and addiction. I like for people to know that I care about them first before I start speaking about faith.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love serving when I’m a part of something bigger. No task is too small when it’s in the work of building people up.

Young adults trying to understand life and any kids
Excite me: trying to find a way to show people that chasing the things of the world aren’t always what’s fulfilling… Money and status feed the ego but not the soul. I don’t you know what that looks like as far as a ministry.
Concern: I don’t care for being too legalistic with people about Christianity. I feel like the church ( God’s people, me included) are not concerned enough with taking care of people’s basic needs in our community and sharing our faith through that service. Instead we focus on pointing out what others are doing wrong and trying to lead them to salvation that way.

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
We were in and out of church when I was a kid. Never really understood the basics or what it was to be Christian or even how to become a Christian. There’s a history of mental illness in my family and it didn’t skip me. I’ve always been filled with some level of anxiety and tension inside of me no matter what’s going on even as a young kid I never felt at peace. In college I was talking to someone who worked for campus crusade for Christ. He shared some scriptures with me which didn’t really land but when he started explaining how to put Christ at the center of your life and how to accept Christ into your life I was overwhelmed with a feeling of peace that I never had. It didn’t last but that feeling was attached to Christ and I knew for me that this is was the answer. I’ve been searching way to find peace my whole life and I got to glimpse of it in a conversation about Christ. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior that day. The road has been up and down but I know I’m on the right path.
