S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Chelse’ Lampley for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Evangelism has become a comfortable habit to me because I am around more unbelievers now, than ever. I get more opportunities to tell others what Christ has done for me, and how He can change their life too. The more you talk about what Jesus for us on the cross, the more excitement and joy it brings. You want to tell as many people as you can. I am also learning compassion through this. Not everyone has had the same upbringing as me and they deserve the same grace, love and mercy that I’ve been offered.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I used to think I wasn’t equipped to teach but it was me just dodging the call to serve that God had placed on my heart. I finally responded and I quickly learned, God uses the most unequipped person (myself) in ways I never imagined. He never says we have to have all the answers before He will use us. He equips us as we are obedient and serve as He has called us. Teaching is a joy for me and I love my students. Do I have all the answers? Absolutely not. I never will but God has blessed me by allowing me to teach students and in return, I usually learn more from my students than I ever imagined. It’s amazing!
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
By no means am I perfect. I do believe that as Christians we should build each other up. Spur each other on and celebrate with one another in times of rejoicing. Its much more draining to tear people down. Building people up and celebrating them is much more joyous and rewarding. Encouraging others brings joy and light hearted-ness like no other. I love to encourage others as I have been encouraged by others.
[H]eart
1. I love to serve. My heart beats for ministry, specifically student ministry but I am happy in any ministry.
2. I love spending time with my family and friends. They bring so much joy to my life.
3. Spending time studying the word. On my own and in my life group. I love my life group.
I love meeting new people and working with them but I also love to serve and work along side students. I don’t really have a preference though. I will work with anyone.
I love seeing students grow and mature into adults who love and live to serve The Lord. I also love seeing the community that you gain when you join a life group. Its refreshing.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I have grown up in church and at 8 years old, I started asking questions about what it meant to surrender my life to Christ. My Dad was a youth pastor and the more he preached on it, the more questions I had. I understood what it meant to give your life to Christ and surrender to His will. I made that decision and it (still to this day) has been the best decision I’ve ever made. My life was forever changed that day. I am not perfect but He is and I choose to serve Him and live for Him over myself. I knew that I was called to live a life different that what the world tells to live for. It’s not about me but about Him and making His name known and loving others.
I was employed at LH from 2006 -2012 part time, as part of the cleaning crew. 2012 – 2014 full time as Events Coordinator. After that I served as a volunteer on the Java team and now I serve in the student ministry as a life group leader
I have served in student ministry at LifeHouse Fellowship Church in Joelton, TN. I have done missions trips with them and helped lead bible studies.
I have had many job changes over the years. This in the beginning was very scary but it reminded me to trust God in every situation. He has always been faithful. I prayed a while back to never be just comfortable with my relationship with Christ. Be careful what you pray for, right? He keeps me on my toes and I love it. I’ve also gained a lot of experience and knowledge through those changes and that’s been such a blessing.
My college years were a huge impact on my life. I loved my church and I was able to serve alongside my college ministry. The community within our college ministry was amazing and i’ll be forever thankful for that time.
The season of life I am in right now, has had a huge impact on my life. All of my friends and certain family members are married and starting families. Which is awesome but the Lord has not changed seasons on me yet and I am ok with that. I enjoy the season God has me in and instead of focusing on what I don’t have yet. I choose to see that God still has something to teach me in this season. He is not done with me here yet and I want to be where HE wants me to be. Not where the world thinks I should be. I want to be present where He has me for that time.
I have always wanted to work in a church. I grew up with my Dad as a youth pastor, so I spent most of my time at the church with him. I loved it! When I graduated college I was hired on staff at LH and loved every second of it. When Pastor David got really sick, they did position cuts due to budget cuts. My position was one of them. I had no idea what I would do. I had a teaching degree but didn’t feel called to a school at the time. There had also never been a time where someone in my family wasn’t on staff at our church. It was weird for me. I learned my identity wasn’t in being on staff at the church, it was in Christ. It was hard but lesson i’m glad I learned. The Lord was faithful and lead me to a job that I absolutely loved and even though it wasn’t in the church. I learned that our mission field is everywhere. Not just in the church for the pastors. We all have a ministry.
When Pastor David passed away, I knew things would change but I never knew how much it would affect me. He had been my pastor for 15 years and you never realize how much of an impact someone has on your life until they’re gone. He was not only my Pastor but my boss. Things were changing so rapidly that I struggled to find my place in the church. This was also the same time that my position had been cut. My world was turned upside down. I didn’t want things to change but I knew they had to. It was hard but The Lord brought me through all the changes and I learned so much going through those times that i’m so thankful for. I am stronger in my faith and my relationship with Christ now because I fully relied on Him to get me through. He did and He is ever and always faithful.
My position was cut at another job that I loved due to budget cuts (I know, i’m seeing a pattern here too) and again. I had to fully trust God to move me to the next job. It took a lot longer this time. Little did I know that I would actually end up in a school teaching. I don’t know why it shocked me. I have a teaching degree. I taught and I loved it. but it was hard. The money in teaching is not the best, so I worked multiple jobs. I loved the people I worked with and my students but it was hard to work multiple jobs. I had no time to do anything yet it was a great learning period for me. I also know I can make it on my own with the direction and guidance of The Lord.
