[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love being a wife. I have only being married for a year and a half but I have a enjoyed every day of it. It brings me joy to take care of my home, take care of my husband and just be the full support and friend he needs from me.

2. I love teaching or mentoring, mainly young people but really anybody. I believe the world has endless opportunities, we all have purpose and we do not have to be in competition with one another. So I love educating, encouraging and supporting anyone who is trying to do something positive in life.

3. Making continued progress in life in my career, marriage and personal endeavors gives me fulfilment and a reason to keep pressing for more.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I prefer to work with teens because I see them as mini adults. They are smart, in a transitioning stage, have a lot of questions, a lot to look forward to, but also with all of that there is a lot they do not know and knowledge and education that I like to share with them.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Witnessing, homeless and prison ministry and youth ministry

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

At the age of 6, based on reading the Bible, what I learned at church and what my parents taught me at home, I decided to give my life to Christ.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

First Baptist Church, Huntsville, AL ~10 years – Choir Member, Choir Treasurer, College Sunday School Teacher, High School Bible Study Teacher, VBS High School Teacher, Young Adult Ministry (YAM) Vice President, Events Ministry, Substitute Sunday School Teacher (ages 6-8), Witnessing Team Member, YAM Outreach Co-Chair

Riverside Community Church – Belcamp, MD ~1 year – Usher, Member of Small Group

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Getting Married

Receiving full scholarships plus more for undergrad, getting a great job opportunity that paid for my MBA and paid me a salary while doing it and having so many people support and encourage me along the way.

My upbringing, having two great parents raise me the way they did, has a lot to do with who I am today.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

No real negative experiences…challenging experience – dad passing – I have a better understanding of death and God’s grace and provision even during the time when you loose the person closest to you. It actually gave me a more positive outlook on death, I chose to focus and be grateful for the 19 years I had with my dad. We had the best relationship and I wouldn’t go back and change anything about our time together. So 1) I value and cherish people that matter to me everyday 2) I sympathize with people who do have a living dad or loved one but don’t have a good relationship with them 3) I also learned that everyone deals with death differently and the need to be sensitive to that.

I haven’t really had too many other challenging experiences, none that I feel are noteworthy, but in general, I believe that the only thing that is promised to us on this earth is that God will never leave us nor forsake us. So I don’t put my all the energy in hoping or believing negative or unfavorable things will not happen such as financial/health issues, death of loved ones, life devastating events, etc. I just know and trust that God will be with me through whatever may come, he has a plan for my life and I am victorious, so everyday I just got to keep going and I try to encourage and support others to do the same.
