Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Became friends with a male patron at the library. We took walks and he shared a personal relationship with Jesus. I was led to go to church with him, and the Holy Spirit convicted me to give my life to Christ. July 11, 1977

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

First Friends Church: since 1983. Service in church orchestra, VBS, Sunday School teaching substitute off and on over the years

Wayzeta Evangelical Church Wayzata, MN 1981-83
Music ministry

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Working at St. Paul Bible College as Asst. Librarian 1981-83. Great spiritual growth through personal prayer partner, bible studies

Becoming a mother in 1985, developed nurturing skills, then began nursing school at Malone, earning a B.S.N.

Working as a hospice nurse 2002-2018, developed good listening skills, learned from terminal patients courage, gratitude, etc. Also caring for my parents before they died.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

going through a divorce from the man who helped lead me to the Lord, discovering he was a homosexual. (1978) at first repelled by homosexuals, then was able to develop compassion towards AIDS patients.

My son was hospitalized for mental illness as a 21 year old. Went through medications, counseling, life style adjustment. This helped develop a compassion for those with mental illness.
