S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Christina Hostetler for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have always been a giver… even as a child. I love to make people happy. And there were times when I didn’t have all that I needed, so whenever I can, I help those in similar situations.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to help people, whether it be giving them something they need, teaching them something, or just giving advice or encouragement. I also love to greet people and make them feel welcome and make them feel like they belong. In addition, I love doing office work… typing, working with spreadsheets, etc.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to share God’s Word through song. I also want the lost to come to Christ, especially those who are close to me.
[H]eart
1. I love to sing!
2. I love to give and share when I can, even if it is just my time or prayers.
3. I love helping and encouraging others.
I love to work with other people who sing; I love to work with people I can learn something from; and I love to work with kids on fun activities like game or movie night, crafts, or field trips, and things like that. I love all ages of kids, but not really big on changing diapers anymore.
The praise team and teaching on tithing probably excite me the most. Other possible needs that would interest me would be helping in the office, greeting people and making them feel welcome, and maybe even ushering or taking attendance.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I grew up in church, attending children’s church, youth group, singing in teen choir, participating in puppet troop, and attending church camp. I was baptized by my Dad at church camp as a preteen. I loved going to church, but fell away when my ex-husband refused to go and then later when ex-boyfriends showed no interest in going. I attended off and on throughout my 20’s and became actively involved in church again in my early 30’s, including singing in the church choir. Due to circumstances, I was not able to go to church for a while in my early to mid 40’s, but watched online whenever I could and attended whenever it was possible. I now attend on a regular basis and try to get involved in any way that I can, including classes and community groups.
Without Walls International Church – Tampa, Florida – Choir Member 2005 – 2009 or 2010?; Took choir attendance approximately 1-2 years of that time; Assistant Alto Section Leader approximately 1-2 years of that time.
Kent Christian Church – Kent, Indiana – Teen Choir Member 1985-1990
Kent Christian Church – Kent, Indiana – Puppet Troop Member 1982-1985?
Having parents, an aunt & uncle, and grandmother who cared for me, taught me the love God, took me to church, and encouraged me to go to church as I was older made a huge impact on who I am today.
A loving, caring, and nurturing church family that I grew up in that helped me learn and grow.
Pastors at my last church that dove deep into the Word to really teach and help me to understand, learn, and grow even more.
Being mentally, physically, and sexually abused in my past has definitely shaped me into the person I am now and has given me great compassion for others who have or are enduring any kind of abuse.
Being cheated on, left, and becoming a single mom of two very rambunctious boys has given me great compassion for anyone who has been cheated on and left or a single parent.
Losing my job unexpectedly through no fault of my own, while my lease was ending, making it impossible to find a new place to live or a job that would pay adequately… all while being a single mom with no help from the father.
