S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Christine Martinez for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Evangelism (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am unashamed of being a Christian, and I believe that God has placed a desire in me to help other people find the love that I have found in him.

#2 Gift, Teaching (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to study and understand His word, and I believe that the only way for people to know and understand His goodness and His love, and His purpose for their lives, is for them to first understand what he is trying to tell us through his word. So, I seek understanding so that I can share my understanding with others in the hope that maybe it will inspire them to pursue a deeper relationship with God.

#3 Gift, Pastoring/Shepherding (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I try to see people through His eyes. I know that he doesn’t make mistakes, and that every life serves a purpose. I think that it is important to help everyone have a deeper relationship with God and realize their purpose so that they can grow in their faith and be a help to others.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Worship

2. Learning

3. Teaching

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Anyone, of any age, who is motivated, faithful, and passionate, people who want to serve God and fulfill his purpose for their lives.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

That the church doesn’t understand worship. My concern is that their faithfulness depends on how they feel emotionally. I think that people are only inclined to worship when they can feel his presence tangibly, or when they receive a word from God. I believe that true worship is when a person can come before God willingly and offer everything they have, even if they aren’t moved to tears during worship, or if they haven’t heard from God in a long time. My biggest concern is that, after everything the congregation has been through, the members have focused too much on their emotions, and not on the bigger purpose that God obviously has for them. Though what excites me is that He makes all things new, and I know that he makes everything perfect in his time, and I feel it’s a responsibility that the church leaders have to show others what true worship looks like, in every form.
