2. I love to teach others and discuss abstract concepts, especially in relation to fundamental Biblical truths and philosophy.

3. I love being a servant to the needs of others, especially my family and friends. Sometimes I may forget why I do it, but generally, I am able to remember that I am called to humble myself to aid others and show love in doing so.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I’ve always grown up in a Christian household and I’ve always been curious about the Christian faith and just God more generally and our desire to fill our “God-shape hole” if you will that exists throughout the human race. I recently in my twenties with the encouragement of my fiancee and her family to attend church. Now while this doesn’t make me saved and a Christian just because I go to church regularly now, I do feel it has deepened my relationship with God and I feel drawn more and more to be involved and to act on God’s behalf in whatever way He sees fit. I also feel I have grown to better understand the immense sacrifice Christ did from listening to religious and even secular thinkers, which I feel have better cemented my faith, trust, and confidence that Jesus is my Lord and Savior.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I’ve only recently begun serving within a church function by participating in the Worship Team musically, but I would love to see what other opportunities open up.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Meeting my now fiancee and falling in love with her is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, and I feel that not only has she continued to shape me into the man I hope to be for her and our future family, but she has been instrumental in helping me self-reflect and get over some of my base assumptions about church and Christian fellowship.

Meeting my close group of friends that I still have today. While not all of them are Christians, I have been thankful for how they’ve shaped me into who I am and how I have been able to promote God when I feel it’s right ( which is far less than I should) and to show and argue for why I believe what I believe instead of always been agreed with.

While it may seem silly, I really enjoy the online “intellectual space” if you will, and while he does not describe himself as a Christian publicly, I feel like I have really felt a draw to better understand the Biblical texts after watching Jordan Peterson’s Genesis and Exodus lecture series, and I also feel that has made an impact on my mindset of not pursuing fleeting happiness but to pursue the most responsibility one can bear or your cross as Christ would want for us to do.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

The death of my grandparents on my father’s side immediately comes to mind as they’ve been my most heart broken moments, and as death often does, it gives you perspective on what you’re doing and how you can be showing love to those around you better while you still can.

I used to wrestle in high school, and I had a serious concussion during one of my practices that made me unable to even speak. That was such a scary thing to me that life can change that quickly, and it makes me thankful it was not worse and it has helped me to better appreciate the time I have and the health I have because the floods of life are inevitable.

My family had hit some difficult times when my dad lost his job in my early high school days, and it has definitely shown me how hard it can be on a marriage and on a family but how worthwhile it is to stick it through and be there for each other, which I think my parents were and are a great example of.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Write compelling music about the wonders of God’s gift to us in Jesus in a way that could communicate not only the love of Jesus but also the call to struggle as he did for us.

4. Be able to reach the heart of my non-Christian friends with the Gospel.

5. Teach young adults about the power of taking up your cross and the fulfillment that comes from chasing that rather than your selfish whims.
