Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Organize events. Communicate with others about upcoming events to make sure they know what is happening. I have greatly enjoyed doing newsletters for multiple organizations.

2. Being outside.

3. Refer at robotics competitions. I love being in the middle of the action, knowing what needs to be going on, making sure teams understand rules, and generally making the event is going smoothly.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I am happiest doing administrative stuff or helping people with a specific task. There isn’t really a demographic I prefer. I just am not good at playing with kids or making small talk.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Getting people more involved with the church than simple attending Sunday services or dropping their kids off on Wednesday night.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in a CMA church in Pennsylvania and accepted Christ when I was nine. God really helped my family cope after losing my dad to a heart attack when I was 10. My family had a hard time finding a church home in Iowa after moving here when I was eleven and we kind of drifted away.

I went to Indiana Wesleyan for a year and a half, but didn’t have money to finish. I had a strong relationship with God while there, but drifted again when I returned to Iowa.

Fast forward a decade. My husband, daughter, and myself had no real relationship with God, but were sort of trying. We had a lot relationship problems. Then my 32 year old sister died of a heart attack, I entered a really dark time, and a year into it forced us to start attending Gateway. In the last year, we’ve gotten closer to God and our lives have calmed down.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Crisis Pregnancy Center – Marion, IN – mostly receptionist and typing visit notes.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Erin was born

Finished bachelor’s degree at Central

My father accepted Christ three months before he died. Those months were a precious gift from God.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My father’s death.

Losing my sister and knowing what her young children were experiencing.

My husband broke a bone in his foot that resulted in him losing his job and not working for four years. We had a lot of relationship and financial struggles.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Write/edit information to keep people informed about church happenings and resources available to help them.

4. teach people healthy lifestyle choices that will help them be with their families longer.

5.
