Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with children, I have always been drawn to them. I have run a home daycare, been a scout leader, worked as a nurse assistant at Children’s Mercy. But, as my children get older I find that I also like working with older kids and adults just as much.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I would love to get rid of Styrofoam and start a recycling project! I wouldn’t mind working in the library or helping out with the kids. I’m pretty open right now. Eventually I would love to go on mission trips!

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My son had a scout project to go to 3 different churches. After visiting PV he asked if we could keep going. I really liked the atmosphere and felt a connection to the lessons that Vern was teaching at the time. I had always felt a pull to church but had never gone regularly as a child. I became a christian and was baptized a year later and while I did find a connection with God I still struggled with certain aspects of my faith. It wasn’t until recently that I have found the answers to those and have truly began to feel that connection blossoming and growing. I have began to get more involved in the church and so is my husband. It has been a beautiful experience to finally connect in this part of our lives and marriage.
