Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

When I was 7 years old I asked Jesus into my heart at Vacation Bible School. When I was 14 years old I rededicated my life to Jesus at youth group. In college I grew in my faith making it my own and not just because I grew up in church and went to a Christian high school.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Harmony Evangelical Church, Milwaukie, OR
Evangelical Women’s group as Secretary of Missions and President, not sure of the exact years, around 1992-1998.
Also, Junior High youth leaders around 1991-1992

Woodburn Evangelical Church, Woodburn, OR
Evangelical Women’s group Hospitality committee, around 1999-2008.
Sunday School teacher around 2006-2008

Faith on Hill, Milwaukie, OR
Nursery attendant, 2011-2018
Wednesday night teacher for 4-6 grade, 2016-2018

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I became involved with Intervarsity while attending Clackamas Community College. I was part of the leadership group. This experience helped me to solidify my faith. It became my own, not just because I grew up in the church or went to a Christian high school.

Spent the summer being a counselor at Trout Creek Bible Camp. This allowed me to work with young people. During the week I was able to teach them and share my faith. You get the chance to live your faith in front of them for a whole week. Also, you get to work with others who are doing the same. You kind of become a family.

We had friends offer to be Godparents for our children. This family became like family. My kids refer to them as “uncle” and “aunt”. They have been a wonderful example to me of how we should live, a great example of faith.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

We lost our second child, a son, through an injury at birth. I am able to understand the loss of a child. It also helped me to trust God and not lose faith when things did not go the way we hoped. I like to reflect on that Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednigo said, basically, I know my God is able, but even if He doesn’t, I will trust Him.

My husband left me for a man. Wow! This tested my faith. I had to give the situation over to God. I shared with them what the Bible said about homosexuality. In the end, I had to accept that I was not able to change them or make the decision for them. It also allowed me to have a little compassion for a group of people that are lost.

My parents were divorced right after I moved out of home when I was 21. This was hard for me. It does allow me to relate to others who have divorced parents.
