S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Cindy Oneil for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. [H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Encourage others rather than judging them, so they can see I truly care and they can trust me, and so they feel like a valued human being

2. Activities with my children, whether it be something fun, going to church, or helping them learn something new

3. Spend time with God and developing a closer dependent relationship on him. I can grow in this area by studying scripture, doing so-journey work, attending my small group, going to church, meditating and praying, and listening to worship music.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Although I love working with children, God has shut the doors clearly on this and is moving me into working with adults with challenges who need someone compassionate and caring to guide them through issues

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

How to get to know more people at the church as friends and how to meet a man of God as a personal partner

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I always was but it wasn’t until I went through a childhood of trauma and then 3 abusive marriages that I understood the value of a true relationship with God and total surrender and having to rely on him and be dependent on him. this is what has gotten me through all the trauma and has given me gifts to help others in similar situations

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

FAC – 1 year with the special needs ministry and 4 seasons with Operation Christmas Child.

Central United Calgary – a few Inn from the cold shifts

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Being introduced to FAC and feeling like I truly belong there and am welcomed

The soul care and so-journey programs at FAC (working together with Anne Freeman)

My Psychology training and education

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My tramatic childhood and divorces which caused me to have to rely on Christ and to explore myself and my purpose more.

Needing to let go of some of my old, unhealthy friends and making room for new ones who are more like minded and healthy

Not setting boundaries and allowing myself to be exposed to a very toxic work environment until I could barely function, along with dealing with injuries and concussions from car accidents and work
