S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Claire Tirapelle for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Pastoring/Shepherding (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel passionate about the growth of people in their walk with Jesus, especially people who are younger than me, and being invested in their lives. I highly value discipleship and authenticity in relationship and spurring one another on toward Christ.

#2 Gift, Serving (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I don’t need to be the person that is seen. I enjoy meeting whatever needs are present and supporting others in what they need. I am willing to do the more “menial” tasks and lend of myself in ways I am able.

#3 Gift, Teaching (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have a high view of the word of God. I love to learn. I want to know it accurately and for others to know it as well.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Connect with people and intentionally share life with them.

2. Travel and experience how people live around the world and learn from them and expand my view of the world

3. Be outdoors, take in beautiful sights, and stand in wonder of it all.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work with people who have a similar vision but also who compliment my giftings/strengths. I like to be a supporter and have someone else be the voice/person up front. I love to work with people who know me and know what to expect of me and also know what depletes my energy. I don’t mind age, but someone who is potentially older and very rigid/set in their ways/headstrong is usually more difficult because I have to expend more energy relating to and coming to a consensus with that person rather than put my energy toward the actual work before me.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

missions, making sure the church is Gospel-centered and doesn’t shy away from difficult truths, learning and going deeper in understanding the Bible in its context

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I became a Christian at a young age in Sunday School. I was raised in the church and was challenged to take my faith more seriously around Jr High. College was a time of great spiritual development and really choosing my faith for myself.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Jr High youth pastor challenging me to really know Jesus, not just in the context of memorized verses and information, but as a person and to allow that information to sink to the heart and motivate a relationship with him.

Christian community and involvement in Campus Crusade for Christ in college – developing friendships deeply rooted in Jesus and walking alongside on another in our pursuit of Jesus. Foundations of discipleship, accountability, and God’s heart for the world came from these years.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Allowing a really good thing to become twisted and turn sinful, and then coming out of that with the reminder that nobody is too far from slipping/falling into sin. We are all in process and in need of Jesus as our Savior, not just in that first moment of saying yes to him, but in every moment until he returns and I am with him.

Stretches of time post-college where I just didn’t desire Jesus. I would actively not choose him yet was reminded of his continual pursuit of me. The reality that walking with Jesus daily is not easy and “dry seasons” come yet we are called to continue to choose him.

My grandma dying and being angry with God and having to process through that loss.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Consistently have time/energy to invest in a core group of people (both believers and non-believing friends) and encourage them toward Jesus.

4. Missions with the focus of effectively meeting physical needs of people as an avenue for the Gospel to be proclaimed.

5.
