[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Spending 1:1 time with Jesus each morning and especially when I can run away to our Sabbath house ( summer cottage) and be alone with my GOD!

2. Being my husband’s helper and best friend and mothering our big GOD designed family ( 5 biological children, 5 adopted, and 1 foster – 4 with medical needs )

3. opportunities to speak and share about what GOD puts on my heart with other women!

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with women who least expect that I would pay attention to them, usually the mothers who’s children have been taken away from them, cancer moms, and those struggling with mental health issues. I also love encouraging younger moms.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Ministry to parents of children with cancer ( I have 2 cancer survivor children )

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up always wanting to please GOD but never understand the gospel. I heard a preacher present the challenge to acknowledge that I was a sinner and my need for Jesus! I was a college student and I fell in love with Jesus that summer and every day since.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

House church planting with the Fellowship of Church Planters in Rhode Island

Drug and Alcohol bible study ministry : leading bible studies with women in group homes while in treatment.

Pastor’s wife Rhode Island

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Marrying my husband and our commitment to take the rocky road where ever the LORD would call us to go

Our house church that ministered to many struggling drug addicted men and women and the relationships we developed during those years.

Adopting children and experiencing that divided heart that knows another mother is living with the heart break of losing a child.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Looking for and feeling rejected when trying to find a mentor

Leaving the church my husband was an assistant pastor at for 7 years… being pushed out the back door and made to leave quietly

Standing by and with mothers who’s children were and have passed away from cancer while my children both survived and are thriving.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. a great big property where we could take in children and their parents who need a community around them to be loved, safe, and given the opportunity to thrive.

4. resources to encourage cancer moms in hands on and very practical love of Christ ways

5. travel the world with my husband and children and have the ministry of letting missionaries share their hearts/life work with us
