Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I viewed church as a task and did not learn much from church but when I moved churches and started to pay attention, I learned how important it was to have a relationship with God and became saved the 2nd time I went to this new church.
Youth Group(youth helper), Crosslink Community Church VA, about 5 years involved
College group involved for about 2 years, Crosslink Community Church VA
Church on Sundays (cameraman, slide operator) involved for about 5 years
My youth group teaching me how to grow in Christ and be a God-loving, God-glorifying sperson
My college group teaching me the Bible in depth and applying it to my current situations and questions I will face
BSF(Bible Study Fellowship) helped teach me how much more in depth I can study the Bible and break down passages to learn more from them.
My struggle with lust, leading me to realize how much I need to rely on God every single day and how I must turn from my own sin.
In general, my middle-school and early high-school experience taught me how evil, wicked, and sinful I really am and that no matter what, going to God’s word and being with fellow believers is what would help me to change ever so slowly from my past self.
My lack of self-control in the area of anger and my constant self-pity and self-loathing that eventually God showed me through fellow believers and through His Word that I must love the person God created me as (not the sin within me) and that how I act does affect what people with think of Jesus, so this led me to change and be more intent on serving God, especially with all my free time.
