S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Abigail Cooney for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have always found myself being really empathetic toward other people to the point where I end up hurting and stressing myself out on their behalf. I love encouraging people who are hurting and showing them I care about them because it’s such a simple thing that just brings so much joy to the world. I hate that people feel like they are alone and I think the whole point of Christian community is the point that we are not alone. None of us. I also have never seen the point in holding grudges because that has such a negative effect on yourself. Letting go of the worldly barriers that keep people apart and accepting that no one is perfect and no one has to go through life alone is something that means a lot to me.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I think this goes along with mercy showing because I love encouraging people and making them feel validated. The best way to get to know someone is by pointing out their strengths, not their weaknesses, and loving them for that. I would like to think that am someone who people can go to if they’re feeling insecure or alone and it’s something I really work to practice daily. Being that positive person who builds the people around them up can makes someone’s day so much better and brighten their self image.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have to be honest I was a little surprised about this one. I suppose I sometimes finding myself giving a lot of my energy to people who sometimes do not appreciate it. That can be a hard gift to have because I have found myself giving my heart away and love and encouragement (allowing myself to be very vulnerable) to get it unappreciated by others. I try to give joyfully but it can be really hard. But there is nothing greater than the undeniable joy you feel when you give a little bit of yourself to someone and you see the results in their life and attitude. It can just sometimes be a little discouraging on the occasions that that doesn’t happen.

1. theatre because i love being a part of a cast. we become like a family and i love reaching out to people I’ve never met and make them feel welcome and validated by complimenting them on their performance even if they have a smaller role. I also love tech crews because I know how little encouragement and credit they receive so I always try to be the person to give it to them. I also just love performing in general because I get to express myself vulnerably.
2. Spending the nights with my friends and having deep conversations with each other.
3. Talking about life with my friends and family. I love encouraging my friends and talking about our plans for the future (especially my two best friends) and receiving encouragement and showing love to my mom.
People who are funny and I relate with, especially my close friends who work to bring other people in to our group. I like down to earth people who are not afraid to be real with you. I cannot stand fakeness and I just appreciate people unafraid to be kind and express love to every single person.
Christians can be so judgmental and that is disturbing to me. The Bible talks so much about loving and encouraging everyone and the fact that no one is perfect so when I see a so called “strong christian” (what even makes them labeled as “strong”???) bing judgmental to others it makes me sick. The stereotyping of a Christian’s response to gay marriage and how Christians are constantly pinned as “homophobic” and just judgmental in general. Division in the church over things we should not be divided on. Christians who bring down other christians, women who bring down other women, and general worldly and unkind behavior. Christians should be the most accepting, kindest, encouraging, and pleasant people to be around according to the Bible but the behavior so many of us have is not like that at all. I also feel very strongly about disability awareness and ministry. The world is not informed enough on many physical and mental disabilities and according to the scripture, it is Christians who have a responsibility to bring attention to that to the world.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
