S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Cory McFadden for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
working is easy. I love working, and I love working for the benefit of others. Especially in church, there is a ton of work to be done and most people come to spectate, and I am happy to fill in the gap so that those with the true evangelical spirit can prosletyze.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
To some degree this is in my blood, and my work has also equipped me well for this. To a degree this is selfish, because I am hungry to learn and digest the word of God, and I know from other life experiences that the best way to learn is to teach it. I also have some God given communication abilities that help with this.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
This was a suprise. Tithing is a struggle, but I am more than willing to give of my time, talents, food, etc.
[H]eart
1. Providing for others, mostly food. I love to host and give people a space to relax and gather around the Word.
2. Exercise and working out. From a young age I have found something very spiritual about using my body to work hard.
3. Other men. Meeting with other men and connecting has been a true wellspring of hope to my life. Sharing in each others struggles, hurts, and building each other up.
Young families, younger men. Children are also on the list but that is too much like work LOL.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I grew up in Christianity. It was such a huge part of my life that I took it for granted. I spent a ton of time leaning on my own understanding and my own actions and hard work, and I believed that that would deliver me. When i reached my goals, which I was just sure would fully and finally satisfy me, I was completely broken. But Christ was there, as He had always been. Waiting with open arms. And the Holy Spirit has been illuminating the areas of my life that I havent been living according to the Word steadily ever since.
Childrens
Life Group leader
Life group– The transformational conversations that come from an intimate smaller gathering of believers, and how it makes the Holy Spirits presence palpable.
Mens group and connecting with other men– Truly life changing. Made me dig into my past and confront some of the ugliness that I was happy to just live with, but then identify and work through.
My job- This has been good and bad. Showed me the fruits of hard work, and gives me a daily way to serve others. But I have also used my job as my identity and placed too much emphasis on it.
Addicted father/abandonment- The importance of a father, how that shapes our relationship with God.
Anger issues- Ongoing. My body and relationship with those closest to me bear the price of this. But the gospel is helping with this. Communication is important, even when it hurts. Still learning this lesson, along with being a peacemaker, not a peacekeeper.
Mental health battle- Off and on since moving over here, and ongoing. Another personal struggle that the gospel has helped to shed light on. That my heart will lead me astray, and that my feelings and emotions arent THE TRUTH. The truth is that God loves me, warts and all, and that every hurt or “bad” thing in my life is for my good and his Glory.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. Minister to other men, fathers specifically, and young men.
4. Figure out a way to integrate fitness/exercise/weightlifting into the doings of the church. Conversely, unapologetically share my faith within the workout circles I am already a part of.
5.
