[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Going home. I love my wife and kids. I love playing with, wrestling with and tickling my kids. I love my couch and bed and kitchen. I love being home.

2. Go hiking, traveling, being away from home and work. It renews me and fills me up. That can include spending days in the woods, fishing, camping, exploring God’s creation.

3. Exercise. Running and lifting.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Humble, strong leaders. Men and women that know how to build others up and disciple. Any age range. It doesn’t matter to me.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Cleaning up disorganization. Strengthening poor communication. I enjoy working at making those better. The only thing that concerns me is pride and not allowing other people to grow to their abilities. Micromanaging.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Growing up in the Church was all about rules and duty. I did my best until my parents divorced and I walked away from God. 7 years later a godly man began mentoring me and led me to the true Jesus while I was serving at a Christian Camp.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Missionary, Bible teacher at Puerto Rico Christian School and Associate Pastor at Toa Baja Christian Church, Toa Baja, Puerto Rico 2008-2017

Director of Missions and Inters at Rainbow Christian Camp 2011

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Having been mentored by Bruce Cameron

Learning to love reading books

Spending 9 years on the mission field away from family and friends

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

One of my students drowned as we were swimming together in a river in Puerto Rico.

My parents divorce

A big blow up with some of the leaders of Puerto Rico over ungodly practices that they were indulging in

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Financially helping missionaries build schools, churches, camps and hospitals in missions I have invested in.

4. Getting regular and consistent marriage counseling for every couple in our Church

5. Building a program for the Youth in our area that would place Godly leaders in their lives and give them a place to spend time having fun, being loved and being mentored
