Thank you Christy Traughber for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I made the walk down the church aisle at 12 years old, and was baptized, but a few years later alone in my room when I was 15, the Lord spoke to me and told me that I’d never truly let Him in, so I was saved alone in my room in January 1996.
Youth Sunday School Teacher, Epiphany Baptist Church, Springfield, TN 2015
My youth director pouring Christ into me, being a child from a troubled home. She saw her own life in me and really took me under her wing and wasn’t afraid to be hard on me too.
Throughout a bad childhood, I had a mother that always put my brothers and me first no matter what it cost her.
Having children. It truly opened my eyes to to how much God loves me when I became a parent and knew the love that only a parent can feel.
After a bitter relationship with my father for my entire life, he was murdered. On that day, I learned my biggest lesson on forgiveness. I realized I had held onto so many bad things, but in that moment none of them mattered. He was my father and I loved him no matter the past.
Marriage struggles and struggling through the grief and healing of infidelity.
Having a chronically ill child and the emotions that go with watching your child hurt and not being able to do anything about it.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. run a program to help teenagers realize that their current life doesn’t have to shape their future and all that they can become with God.
4. to help marriages on the brink of divorce. It hurts me and makes me mad that Satan continues to destroy marriage and we so easilly throw it away.
5. Every child would have a loving home and people that love them and show them the love of God.
