S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Chrissy Miller for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
My father’s name was Peter and my whole life we would just sit and talk at the kitchen table, he would listen to my troubles and I would listen to his, he inspired me to be a forgiving person who also inspires, empathizes and listens to the hardships of others while giving others hope or simply listening and being at the same table as them. I’ve always valued quality over quantity because of this, because I know the real value of sitting with someone at a table just the two of you and really listening to one another’s truth and still remaining at the table hand in hand even after hearing the true struggles from one another.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Although I am “new” to the exact words/scripture of the Bible, I’m able to translate or interpret and voice what I feel God’s path is for me and others. I’ve also been able to help others see the love and light that is our Heavenly Father within and to allow themselves to receive the love and joy they deserve. I also encourage and give “permission” to those who I feel are suffering to cry on my shoulder, I remind them to be kind to themselves so they can in return be kind to others. I’m able to open myself up to those who are willing to see/hear me in order for them to open up and heal themselves.

#3 Gift, Prophecy (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
My whole life I’ve had dreams and predictions(not every night or every month, but certainly more than most) I’ve also always had a strong intuition about people or situations… I can’t really explain it more than I just know, I’ve had dreams meant for other people and when I hear about whatever is happening in their lives, I suddenly realize that the dream I had was meant for them to relay a message of some sort, I’ve seen car accidents before they happen, I’ve dreamed about tornadoes the night before dozens of tornadoes swept across the Midwest, I’ve thought of how earthquakes happen and the different layers of earth before bed and woke up that same night to an earthquake, I know when my husband is lying(although I’m sure that is very common with many women). Jesus has come to me in my dreams, as well as my loved ones who have passed on, I’ve also unfortunately had nightmares as well. I do believe that this is a very strong presence in my life, but I’ve been scared to lean into it until recently when I realized that it was actually a beautiful gift that God has given to me. I’ve had different reoccurring dreams of me helping others through catastrophic events my whole life, I think I am meant to help others heal and I think it is Jesus working through me somehow, I’m still not sure exactly how, but I am trying to figure it out.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I LOVE my babies!!! My two boys bring me so much joy in my heart, I love seeing them grow physically, spiritually and mentally. When my family unit grows emotionally and spiritually it brightens my whole being!

2. Music!!! I love singing and dancing with the family, I love listening to music the moves me to tears or that inspires me or makes me want to dance, music inspires me and influences me, I’m currently learning to play guitar and am happy to finally following my dreams of learning to make music. I also love all arts, painting and performing, both as an artist myself and as art enthusiast.

3. I need and love to be physically active, I need to run or bike or hike or do yoga or Pilates, I also love teaching these activities and enjoy the company of others while doing these activities or sports, I love the achievement of crossing the finish line or nailing the technique or the competition of another or even yourself to drive you harder and becoming a better athlete.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love young people who are eager and excited to learn, on the other side of the spectrum I also love those who have a lot to teach me.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I’d like to teach a class of “holy yoga”, I’d also like to truly help those who need a friend or emotional support, I want them to know they are not alone and that they are loved, I want to make a positive impact on someone’s life or many people’s lives.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised Christian(went to church 2xweek) with a catholic background as well from my dad’s side. It just seems natural and comforting to me, it feels like home.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

The birth of my kids make me want to be the best possible version of myself.

When I was a kid and struggled I had beautiful mentors who believed in me when I felt abandoned.

My father was always so forgiving and always saw the best in people, he inspires me to do the same.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

The passing of my dad and brothers

Abandoned by both parents(emotionally and physically) my mom left us when I was 5, came back after a year and took us away from our dad and the rest of our family. Later when I was older my mom sent to me juvenile hall when she caught me smoking pot, I was totally misunderstood by my mom and neglected emotionally and physically.

Hardship in my marriage.
