[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Leading my 6th grade girls group has brought me more joy and fulfillment than I could have imagined.

2. I love serving at Guest Central because I like to help guests feel comfortable in a new environment and I like to show people around and I like to get to know new people.

3. It brings me joy to talk with other women who may be struggling with similar things that I am or have struggled with and to let them know that they are not alone. I like to encourage them and pray for them.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with middle school to high school age girls and women around my age. I also like to work with positive people.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I am excited for the changes that are happening at our church so that we can reach as many people as we can. I do think that it would be beneficial to our middle school ministry to hire a full-time middle school minister. At this age, they really need someone who will be there for them for their entire middle school career. It is a very hard age and they are trying to navigate this world while figuring out who they are. We place an importance on group leaders staying with the same group from 6th – 12th grade, but we as leaders need someone as well who we can count on and get to know to lead us. We shouldn’t have to have that separation and rebuilding every year when we hire a new resident. I am really excited to be filling a need for camp sponsors when I go to camp with middle school this summer!

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior at age 6 and grew up in the church. At age 20 I rededicated my life to Christ because I felt like I wasn’t living my life on purpose for God and wanted to be on fire for Him. I have been involved in serving in some way at church.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I taught for children’s ministry, nursery and VBS at Hawk Point Baptist Church in Hawk Point, MO for a few years. My husband and I led small groups and taught for children’s ministry and nursery for several years and I sang on the Worship Team at Faith Christian Family Church in Warrenton, MO. My husband and I have taught for children’s ministry in with Pre-Teens, I have led Pre-Teen worship, I have sang on the Worship Team, I have served at Connection Point, I have served with Women’s Encounter and am currently serving at Guest Central and in middle school ministry within our 8 years here at Blue Springs Christian Church in Blue Springs, MO.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Switching from a baptist church to a non-denominational church.

Joining a small group.

Serving at my church.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I was sexually abused as a child.

My husband and I went through a difficult time in our marriage.

Bankruptcy
