Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
Raised as a Jehovah’s Witness, I’ve always been comfortable with my spiritual life and witnessing to others. As an adult, I learned about a few other demonization’s and have been baptized twice. I’ve always love the Lord.
Current: Jordan River Ministry Washington, DC 4+ yrs, I’ve served on the Hosting Committee, Served as a Ministerial Assistant, Prayer Warrior, Organizer
Being intentional about getting to get to know myself better when I was single. Taking personal development courses, traveling alone.
Moving to DC to get to know Pop, Wanda and Resta better. All family is important, I was blessed to get to know them in a city I loved. They all have been a blessing to me and I look forward to being able to bless someone else in the family. We are our brother’s keeper and we are here to love and serve and celebrate one another.
GrandMa Kittrell taught me about cooking, gardening, going to the beach, traveling to VA for shows, the importance of reading. Family love. GrandMa Coples taught me about gardening, cooking, faith. David Reynolds taught me a variety of arts & crafts that I still enjoy today. My Mom taught me how to cook, the joy of reading and learning. She’s encouraged me to grow, to set goals and to go after my dreams. My Aunt Alice taught me the importance of love and cooking, learning about God, taking care of family, laughter. That the simple things in life are what matters. She taught me the joy of hosting. My parents taught me to always help others.
My first marriage/divorce really made me grow up. It led me back to God because I was in an abusive relationship and was trying to handle it on my own. I learned that God is Always near, he will Always make a way. He’s a healer and restorer. He’s sent so many angles (unsuspecting) my way to help me on my journey. I am able to share how He saved me and my testimony can bless others.
High school counselor told me I shouldn’t try to go to college, I should go to community college or a trade. I knew in my heart she was wrong but her negative and discouraging spirit both hurt & strengthened me. I learned that just because you are older and in a position of power you have a responsibility to speak life into people, to encourage them and help them grown. I always encourage others, especially as I’ve grown and developed personally and professionally.
