S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Samantha Naomi Barragan for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Evangelism is something I desire to do whether it is through music or teaching and equipping others to understand their purpose in life and bring the gospel message to others. Bringing others to Christ more and more is something I have a deep desire to do and to use my talents to show the love of God to others.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Exhortation and encouragement is a gift that I believe comes naturally to me because I am always looking for a way to encourage people, and to be the person that is there for someone when no one isn’t.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe this ties with being an empathetic person. For this reason, I think that even though there are people who may condemn others for their actions or past mistakes. I think that I am able to forgive others quickly and I understand others’ situations no matter the mistake they made or no matter what they have done to me. There are situations in my life where people have done harm to me but to show mercy and to forgive them quickly allows for healing in your life to take place.

1. One thing I love to do that brings joy and fulfillment in my life is to dwell in God’s presence. I know he is always with me and that he is always present where I am. But just being still in his presence and resting in him is what brings me ultimate joy and fulfillment in my life.
2. The second thing I love to do that brings me joy and fulfillment in my life is to be in nature. Whether it is relaxing in nature, doing kayaking and enjoying the views, or just taking a walk with my family and admiring God’s creation.
3. The third thing that brings me joy and fulfillment in my life is to travel and seeing the way other cultures live and learning about it. I find it so interesting and I love being able to go somewhere new and experience new things, cultures, and food.
I love to work mostly with people who are underprivileged, poor, and feel like they have no purpose. Because people who feel like they are at their lowest in life I want to be able to help them see that they do have a purpose and that there is hope in Jesus.
Something that concerns me in the church body as a whole is that there is a lack of discernment and knowledge of scripture and actually applying it to their lives. Because I see a pattern in some churches where people compromise their faith to conform to certain customs of the world and culture that is being pushed every day through social media, the news, etc. because either it’s not wanting to live fully in truth, or because of ignorance. “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.” Hosea 4:6
Abortion/sanctity of Life
Homelessness
Drug abuse/recovery
Alcoholism
Poverty/hunger
Compulsive behavior

[A]bilities
I currently do not have a job where I am being paid but I consider what I do in my internship a job.
I have experience working in my previous church with the kids Sunday school and helping to teach the kids on Sunday.
A talent that I have is to sing and throughout the years iv’e learned to use my talent to become a better musician. Another talent I have is cooking, ever since I can remember iv’e always loved to cook and learn new cuisines and try to make them, and sometimes I like to add my own little bit of creativity in the dishes.
I taught a message once about the topic of biblical Joy, at my previous church for the youth class on Wednesday.
My most valuable personal asset is my Bible, because without I would be spiritually dead and I’m so thankful that I am able to read my bible in the United States. Unlike other countries where if you are caught with one you would be put into prison.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
I grew up in a Christian family but I didn’t fully give my life to Christ until the summer before my senior of high school. I will never forget the day I gave my life to Christ and fully follow him. I went to a conference and I remember so vividly how the Holy spirit overflowed in the place and I became so convicted and felt an overwhelming sense of Peace and Joy. From that day on God convicted me to change my ways and to turn away from my sin in the past.
I served on the worship team and assisted with sunday school at my previous church called Tampa Life church, and I was there for about three and a half years almost four.
Something that will forever make an impact on who I am is having a family who has supported me in everything. From when I did ballet for 11 years, to now being a worship major and fulfilling God’s calling in my life.
Having experience in studying dance, mainly ballet for many years taught me a lot about self-discipline and how to be a hard worker. That to see growth you must be willing to let go of some things you may want to do and be dedicated to the vision you have to be able to grow in whatever you do.
In elementary school, I was sexually molested and got bullied by other girls and even though those things did leave scars in my spirit as I continue to get older I realized more and more that God wanted to heal me. He wanted me to forgive the person who caused me harm and healing takes place when you choose to forgive and allow God to mend your spirit, mind, and soul. This has given me a desire to help others who also have gone through similar situations but to help them realize that God loves them so much and wants to restore them fully.
