#1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I did not feel very encouraged growing up I want to make sure I am the one encouraging others so they can do the things God has called them to do. Especially from a Father figure encouragament is key. I don’t feel or remember receiving a lot of encouragemnet from my father growing up. I knew he loved me but I never felt inspired by him or pushed to achieve my goals.

#2 Gift, Giving (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy being able to give things away. To make people happy with the things God has givien me. I will give my time if someone ask and I am able to and not complain. I don’t mind helping others. I just need a balnace between helping and family.

#3 Gift, Serving (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love serving people. I have always had a heart for missions and serving. After being in China for prayer trips and going to school their, as well as doing medical mission trips to Belize central America i love being able to help with change and just being a physical repsopnse to the call of Christ. Serving in missions has always been a strong desire in my life and something I have enjoyed in the passed.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. 1. Kids. I love working with kids. I enjoy just being able to love on kids that need it and encourage them.

2. 2. Creating displays. Making a mess look like art. ( I enjoyed this in retail)

3. 3. People. I love being able to brighten someones day. Making them feel special or loved no matter what is going on.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Kids! I love K through 5 or college age students. I worked in kids ministry most of my life wether it was youth groups or college groups. I was a childrens leader for a church before moving to PA and I was also a college small group leader for our other church in Murfreesboro TN.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Kids ministry and being able to speak into their lives while they are young. College age is the same way…being able to speak into their lives before they move into the real world as a professional adult.

[A]bilities

My current vocation:

I am currebtly a cutsomer service/operations manager for a sales and marketing company. I work alongside graphic artist to quote projects and ptinting jobs. I switched my job to here because I want to be home more with my wife and kids.

Other jobs I have experience in:

I was a store manager for 10 years for Dollare General. This is where I discovered my enjoyment of merchandising. I have always had a creative side painting when I was kid and doing lots of artistic stuff from drama to design…but retail is where I thrived with it and the creation of displays and better floor designs that functioned properly.

Special talents/skills that I have:

Merchadising, creating, teaching kids,

I have taught a class or seminar on:

I have taught kids classes and colelge small groups.

I feel my most valuable personal asset is:

My personality. I never meet a stranger. I am more concerned about a person story then I am about their appearance or beliefs. Through learning their story we can find nuggets of truth and tools we need to make an impact on their life to help encourage change in those beliefs or ideas. I love people and I love loving on people and brightening their day.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in a Christian home so I excepted Christ at a young age. I believe my spiritual awakening was at a youth camp where I received the Holy Spirit and recognized the call on my life at that time. It was until I went to China on my last year of College that had to rely on my own faith instead of my parents. That was when God began to open doors for me and I began to teach college small group and then later got involved with leading kids groups.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

World Outreach Church Murfreesboro, TN Volunteer college group leader under Jim Wideman.

Childrens pastor at Illuminate Church in Muirfreesboro, TN under Trey Faulkner.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Belize mission trips. learning to love people.

Mission trip to China and studying at the university there. Studying psychology in college and having the connections with my counseling professors.

Marrying my wife and having my kids.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being torn down with words by family members and lack of encouragement from my father.

Struggling with my identity and addiction.

Being an adulterer and seeing the pain I caused.
