Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew being a Pastor’s kid who rejected Christ and the church until I was a young adult. Chancing after other truths as a young husband and father I finally realized that the Truth was right under my nose. But by now because of being so rebellious toward Jesus and deep in sin, I figured I had committed the unpardonable sin. After much discussion and teaching I surrendered by live to God. Confessing my faith in Jesus and being baptized into Him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Churches I’ve served.
Grinnell Christian Church (IA): Deacon/Youth Minister
Greentop and Shelbyville Christian Churches (MO): Pastor
Rockwell City Christian Church (IA): Senior Minister
Christ’s Church (West Des Moines, IA): Co-teaching Pastor
Yuma Christian Church (CO): Teaching Pastor
Greeley/Crossroads Christian Church (CO): Senior Pastor
Journey Christian Church (CO): Pastoral Care Minister

Other ministries I’ve served while working as a minister of a local congregation.
Kirksville (MO): part time Campus Minister to Married Students
Rockwell City (IA): part time Prison Chaplain
Des Moines (IA): part time Collage Chaplain (American Business College)
Hospital and nursing home chaplains in various communities.

Two institutions of Higher Learning:
Iowa Christian College (Des Moines, IA) = served full time as an instructor, director of student life, and PR
Ezra Institute For Biblical Studies (West Des Moines, IA) = part time instructor and PR

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

The Christian home I was brought up in. The constant love, forgiveness, and acceptance. Not only from my parents and siblings but from the extended family as well.

The Jesus Movement of the 1960s & 70s mixed in with the over all renewal movement.

God not giving up on me after I failed in marriage and ministry. Didn’t think I’d ever be used by God again in ministry and didn’t think I was worthy of marriage again. Here I am being used by God in Pastoral ministry and He has also give me a gift of a godly wife.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being picked on during my grade school years because my dad was a minister.

Most of the years in my first marriage I was rejected and picked on. Wanting the marriage to be turned around by God but instead my wife left me for a divorce on our 33 wedding anniversary.

Being a Senior Pastor at an unhealthy church with a divisive leadership.
