Thank you Dee Anne Persinger for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I was working in a school, and a young man who was doing his student teaching, reached out to me. I saw his life and how he was different, and ended up going to church one time when he invited me. I saw Jesus’ love in the people there and was moved by the Bible lesson. I began studying the Bible about how to be Jesus’ disciple with some of the women there over the next couple of weeks. Then I committed to Jesus being my Lord and got baptized.
Summer intern for the Teens/Youth with Phoenix Church of Christ in Phoenix, AZ. 3 months served, but with church for years.
Shepherding couple for the singles ministry with my husband in the San Diego Church of Christ, San Diego, CA. Served for 2 different times, a few years total.
My mother’s faith that she raised us with in the Catholic Church, going to church, praying, etc.
God’s ways of answering my prayers when praying through to become surrendered about issues (i.e. getting married, bearing children)
My husband and children being disciples too.
Growing up in a very dysfunctional family with a mom who had been diagnosed with bipolar schizophrenia, and losing a brother early in life (he was 22, I was 9).
Being diagnosed with fibromyalgia 22 years ago and living with it everyday.
Long term worldly relationship with a person with an addictive personality
