[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Treating a person or families to a meal. Encouraging couples to attend a marriage retreat by contributing part of their registration fee. Contributing funds to major mission project.

2. Listening to a person’s story, especially their spiritual journey. I enjoy asking questions about their life’s journey
.

3. Reading scripture and articles that look at life’s challenges from a christian world view.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I enjoy working with 30’s and 40’s and a few in their 20’s most of whom have some church experience.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I am concern about what appears to be a lack of knowledge of the Scriptures and attitudes of independence of people who look at the christian life as just another segment of life rather than a life that is centered on Christ having no area of life that is not centered on Him.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up is a pastor’s home but did not own my own faith until to moving 2000 miles away and was fortunate to be involved in good churches under good pastoral leadership. Received excellent training and teaching in seminars in addition to the local church. I was fortunate to develop prayer partners and close friendships with committed christians.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Church chairman of Alum Rock Evangelical Covenant Church San Jose, CA (no longer exists)
Elder in Fremont Community Church Fremont, CA (12 years)
Elder in Upland Community Church Upland, IN (6 years)

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Basic Youth Conflicts seminar that helped me greatly with my assurance of salvation as well as the practical use of scripture to help resolve conflicts.

The overwhelming sense that I need to turn my car around and go back to share the gospel with a gentleman that I had just met in an insurance office.

The intervention of God in an answer to prayer about the purchase of a house in Milpitas, CA that resiulted in the purchase of a nicer house for less money in San Jose, CA

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

The reoccurring lustful thought life that almost resulted in physical adultery but was interrupted by God.

Being let go from my first Mechanical Engineering job with Hyster Lift Trucks that resulted in changing my career to teaching math an occupation that I swore I would never go in to.

A daughter coming home from college pregnant and unmarried. An experience that taught me how God works in spite of our failings to bring about his purposes.
