S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you David Buck for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am drawn to and have had success in the operations sides of complex businesses and find fulfillment in understanding the larger process and tweaking the knobs and levers of an operation to achieve corporate goals.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
We have been tithing as a family since 2013. We consider tithing to be a privilege, honor and duty as Christ followers. Our goal is to be in a position to be able to grow our giving well beyond the foundation of the tithe.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Matthew 25: 31-46 are very convicting and compelling words from Jesus. In verse 40 Jesus says “Truly, I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.” Let’s just say, when it comes time to separate the sheep from the goats, I plan to be in line for a good sheering. Unfortunately, I believe too many Christ followers take these “commands” too lightly or gloss over them.
[H]eart
1. Helping an organization set priorities, goals and implement plans to move forward in a process of continuous measurable improvement.
2. Spending time with family. Quality time together requires enough quantity to realize.
3. Small group settings where face to face discussion leads to deeper understanding of God’s word.
Teenagers and up. The older I get, the less patience I seem to have for young children in large group settings. I do however, enjoy teaching in a structured setting.
Just getting to know Cornerstone so I don’t have a strong opinion on this one. I learned long ago to observe and seek to understand before opening my mouth.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I grew up going to church on a semi regular basis and accepted Christ as my savior when I was a teenager. Currently, I’m on a lifelong journey seeking to understand what that really means and how it impacts my daily life.
Deacon at Gateway Church in Scottsdale, Arizona. Started out volunteering to set up signs then was asked to help with security, and then “promoted” to lead the parking team before becoming a Deacon. We were in Scottsdale for two years before a job promotion moved us to New Mexico.
Legacy Church, Albuquerque, NM. My wife and I served on a homeless ministry team that served food to 300-400 once a month. My role was setup before the event and security during the event.
Meeting my wife of 31 years while on spring break in Daytona Beach in 1988. Great story but too long for this format.
Yahweh Jireh – the Lord will provide (Genesis 22:14). In my life, God has shown up several times and provided when my wife and I needed it most.
Going through two miscarriages after the birth of our son.
Job loss and figuring out our next steps.

- Everyone Else After those
3. travel on mission trips
