S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Lindsay Davis for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

I enjoy working with older children and adults.
My husband and I have three children and beyond being a wife and Mom I am a busy teacher building a tech program for ECA students K-6. Wherever I serve, I pretty much need to involve my kiddos at this point in my life.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I did not grow up in a Christian household. I had a Christian neighbor who would take me to church. I did not give my life to the Lord until my last year of college. I got involved with BSF during my early years of marriage which helped me a lot. My Mom and I read the Left Behind Series together and she became a Christian. My husband and I have tried to raise our girls to know Christ and the truth.
A loving neighbor who took me to church and planted a seed.
A loving teacher of my girls who showed me the benefits of a Christian education.
A good friend who continues to show me that it is possible to raise children knowing Christ in a world that is bombarding them with the opposite of truth.
I see people around me that go to church, but do not live the life that God calls us to. This has been a continuous lesson for me. I find it tempting to live a life for myself but have to continuously be in Gods word to fight that temptation.
I have had experience with bible studies in the past that were not based on Gods word. It has caused me to be very careful in what I study.
In recent years, I had a neighbor that fell on very hard times. She was a Christian, but moved away from her faith and toward a more worldly healing. What the world offers is a very “self” focused healing. I watched her become more and more unhappy as she moved farther away from God. It is tempting to focus on ourselves in the worst of times. However, in watching others not be healed by a greater focus on self and only go deeper into despair…I try to remember that looking outward and upward is always a better answer than a self focus when things are at their worst.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. I would find some way to help new mothers who want to raise their kids in the ways of Christ when the world seems to go against it.
4. I would spend time trying to help the few Christian Schools in the area raise money so to serve more families.
5. I would love to be a part of creating a ministry where children serve the community as part of a club. It would be neat to create an opportunity for students to regularly serve in the community and see life outside of their own.
