S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Dayna Yeo for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am able to observe & understand the needs of others and I feel joy in saying nice words & giving people advice. Even though I may not be the best advice giver, I enjoy seeing people take note and applying my advice into their daily lives and growing as a person as a result of the advice given. (e.g. I enjoy tasks like mentoring my juniors etc.)

#2 Gift, Serving (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy working with others to plan events for a community. Even though it may be very tedious and tiring sometimes, I feel that working with others and bonding over planning these events is a very good and fruitful experience. I feel that I’m also able to work well with others to produce a good event.

#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I usually do not really hold grudges for a long time and I feel that showing love to the people who are undeserving etc. is very meaningful and it may even help them to realise what they are doing is wrong and reflect on their actions. I also feel that bearing grudges is a very tiring thing to do as you will never be genuinely happy if you hold so many grudges.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to mentor others, especially those younger than me, and to be there for them whenever they need me. I love it when we develop a deep and bonded relationship and when they are able to trust me with their problems and worries as it makes me very happy!!

2. I love singing! Even though I may not really sing well, singing helps me relieve stress and it also helps me to clear my mind off my worries and problems and it brings me a wave of calmness as well.

3. I love to observe others and get to know about the different personality types and how these personalities go well/clash with each other

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work with my peers and juniors!

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

excite:
– church camps
– worship

concern:
– relationship with CG members (are we able to grow together spiritually and be bonded to the point where we can share literally anything with one another?)

*Mark the Top 3 from the list, that Trigger a Passion in You

Other – People with mental issues/illnesses/disabilities, not just physical disabillities

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My seniors, peers and juniors in school have impacted me alot as I have watched how they carry out their duties and how they have coped with the challenges they faced. I learnt from both their strengths and flaws throughout the years.

I have had very encouraging and approachable church leaders in all the churches I have been too and they were all capable in sharing God’s word.

I have learned a lot from my family members and they have stuck with me and helped me through difficult times throughout these 15-16 years of my life. They have given me good advice which helped me grow in many aspects.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I have sinned many times in my entire life but through the scoldings I’ve received from my parents/teachers etc., I have learnt to do my best to live a life that glorifies God even though committing sins are quite inevitable

I have made major mistakes (e.g. unknowingly offending my friend, making a mistake when planning a major event) but I managed to learn from these mistakes and not to let history repeat itself by making mental notes.

I have experienced an overload of stress before and there were instances where I was not sure on how to cope with the stress and those situations were very tough to get over for me. Thus, whenever I see others who are stressed, I will make sure to check up on them regularly and make sure that they are feeling okay.
