S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you David Morrison for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy working in the background and being effective and getting things done. I believe in organization and processes and that they are very good tools in the proper functioning of an effective church and organization. I also have a lot of experience in this area and it comes naturally to me.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Giving is very important to me. God has blessed me and I believe it is imperative to give back and share where I can. I am not always comfortable in all situations but seeing someone in need and not helping just does not feel right to me.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel like service is built in to all of these gifts and is just manifest in different ways. It is my humble belief that as a Christian we are all called to serve in some way through any gift or gifts we may each possess.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I grew up in the church and even but spent a lot of my adult life in a state of rebellion “enjoying life”. I however always people praying for me and encouraging me so truth be told I never ever really forgot God. The turning point for me was when I returned to church. I felt such a strong calling by the Lord. I was reminded that I have a purpose and that purpose is built on him. I was also reminded that he is responsible for everything in my life and that I need to build my life around him. So I have restarted the journey that has been the most fulfilling of my life. Having other Christians around me has also been a blessing. This was something I think contributed to me moving away in the first place.

The birth of my first child.
The example set by my parents.
The feeling of working hard and being successful. Doing the things no one else wanted to do because I saw the opportunity in it.
A summer job working in a supermarket when I was much younger. I will never forget how hard I worked for that week and how little reward there was for it. It created a real compassion for persons who try in life but have a hard time of it.
A failed first marriage that was not built on God.
Not maintaining relationships with good friends and loosing touch.
