This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’ve been on an evangelism teach at the church I was attending and every time we went out, God used me in ways I hadn’t expected to be used. The boldness that came over me to speak to total strangers was mind blowing but I knew it was all God. I remember talking to an atheist during one outing. He rejected everything I had to say and he walked away. I remember the intense grieving that came over me and I knew it was the Lord grieving. I prayed like I never prayed before and it was on that day when I began to really know what it was like to feel the Lord’s grieving.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love the word of God and I love to teach it. This is a huge part of my walk.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have prophesied over someone a couple of times but this gift isn’t active in that way. The Lord has shown me many things and given me a sense of things to come without speaking one word. Through others I have received confirmations for those very things the Lord showed me which was really encouraging for me.

[H]eart

1. Reading the word (when I finally sit down and actually do this). I struggle to get there but once I am there I can stay there for hours.

2. Worship…listening to worship music and singing to the Lord brings me to tears but it brings so much healing and so much joy.

3. Praying, another place I struggle to be in. I have had to force myself to pray quite often throughout the pandemic, but once I finally started praying, a burden would always be lifted. I think much of what I was feeling initially was a burden to pray. I am an intercessor and I believe that I am carrying burdens that I need to stop fighting and just release them through prayer.

When I started teaching it was in Sunday School and it was for pre-school aged children. After 2 years the Lord moved me to the middle school aged children and I loved teaching this group. It was short lived because then the pandemic happened and now I am teaching and pouring into 2 women as of now. I do miss the middle school children.

I think that it’s important that churches not focus on or utilize just one age group. I think it’s so important that pastors and leaders utilize all age groups within the house of the Lord. Each one of us has talents and gifts for the kingdom and we all can bring something to the table. One age group is just one piece of the body but the body of Christ is made up of many parts, shapes, sizes, colors and ages and we all play a part in God’s plan. Not one of us is a mistake and we are all here for a purpose.

I am a supervisor of a patient accounts department for Mount Sinai Beth Israel. I do not work at the hospital location.

I have been in healthcare since 2003. Prior to that I worked in a bakery café and prior to that I was a stay at home mom.

Data & financial analyzing, supervising and training staff, I have been told that I am very articulate and can express myself coherently both verbally and in writing.

I taught Sunday school for a little over 2 years and then the pandemic ended Sunday school for me in 2020. I am no longer in the Sunday school ministry as I am waiting for the Lord to transition me into my next church home.

Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

[E]xperience

I was 21 and at my baby shower for my first daughter. The couple that gave me the baby shower were born again Christians and the husband and his friends told me about Jesus. A few months later they invited me to their church and it was at the alter of their church that I gave my heart to Jesus and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. Because of the lack of support at home, I did not stay at that church. It wasn’t until 20 years later, at the age of 41, that I would begin my walk with the Lord. The seed was planted in 1994 but it began to get watered in September of 2014.

Resurrection Church in sunset park Brooklyn. I walked into Resurrection church on 9/7/2014. I have been on the evangelism team, taught Sunday school and was also on the production team. I have had wonderful experiences in this church and although I will miss it, I am excited for the next church home that the Lord is bringing me to.

Knowing in my heart that I am unconditionally loved by the Lord. This was a hard concept for me to accept because growing up I was abused and being loved always had strings attached to it.

My spiritual mother – it was because of her that I knew the love of a mother. The Lord did an amazing work in her and she was able to love me the way a mother loves her child. She’s still a very huge part of my life and I am in touch with her daily.

The family that I have in the body of Christ. They have treated me more like family than my own blood relatives. I never knew the concept of family until I came to the Lord.

I have been through all kinds of abuse as a child (sexual, verbal, physical, mental and emotional) and it has helped shape me into having extreme compassion for those that have gone through the very same things.

Abandonment – My father was never around when I was a little girl. I was the child who waited on the front steps for my father to come pick me up but he never showed. I know what abandonment feels like. It makes you feel unwanted. Now I get to tell a different story because I am wanted by a perfect and unconditionally loving Father. I would love to let other’s know just how much they are loved and wanted by their Heavenly Father.

I am not sure if there is a 3rd because the first 2 were my whole life until the Lord stepped in.
