Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

When my husband and I met in high school I had just separated from a group at my school involved in drugs and drinking. Bills lifestyle was different and I liked and needed that. After we began to date Bill bought me a Living Bible and we started to attend church at his home church. One Sunday I felt as though the pastor was talking directly to me and could see inside me to my deepest needs. Jesus was beginning a work in me. I invited him into my life and heart.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

First Baptist Church Watauga Watauga, Texas mid 80s thru early 90s hospitality committee, nursery redecorating committee, scheduler for childcare for Sunday school (babies) and during worship (for 4 and under), nursery worker., VBS craft leader, Fellowship group hostess. 92-97 First Baptist Church Burleson Burleson, Texas had difficulty finding a place to serve there. 97 thru current day Oak Grove Baptist Church Evangelism, Hospitality, VBS, Youth Pastor Search Committee, Grove Group Home, Sunday School co teacher, Sunday School class planter with husband, nursery worker, elementary age worker, visit shut ins, prayer ministry, Bible Study, ministering to and feeding the sick, unemployed, widowed, etc.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Meeting and being witnessed to and taught by my friend of 37 years Sharon Galbreath.

Being invited to Oak Grove BC by Debbi Neal and then sitting under her teaching and seeing how she not only teaches but walks a Godly life.

Meeting and doing life together with my husband and two sons. The pleasure and difficulties of being a wife and mother.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

The death of my son Jacob to drug and alcohol addiction has given me a compassion and more curiosity for addictions of all kinds.

The death of my youngest sister, mother, and father to cancer. And, the diagnosis of malignant melanoma and surgery of my living sister. My husbands battle with multi infarct dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

My rape at age 16.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. To be a part of a ministry that shows up when people face a tragedy and do right then wha they is needed. If you are a carpenter bring your tools, a seamstress you’re sewing basket, cook, bring a meal. Don’t ask what they need, come and do what you do best
