#1 Gift, Teaching (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love teaching, facilitating Bible studies. As I have been out these past few weeks, the discussions in SS have continued, showing that it is the Lord who is teaching through me and not my self effort.

#2 Gift, Administration (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
God has been teaching me to delegate responsibilities and not try to do it all myself in our SS class. He wants us to be a team.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Not sure this one is me. I pray often that those i know and those I don’t know would come to know Christ, but don’t often have or may not take opportunities to share Christ with unbelievers.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Experienced trial in marriage, went to Bible to find answers, couldn’t understand what it said, sought Bible study in order to know God. Heard at Bible Study Fellowship that Jesus was God. Everything fell into place that I had heard my whole life in church. Learned about a relationship that was possible with God and from that point on, gave my life to Christ and began to grow in Him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Taught 2 yr. old SS class in Pantego Bible Church, 2 or 3 yrs
Taught preschoolers in Bible Study Fellowship for 14 yrs.
Taught and directed VBS in OGBC for at least 25-30 yrs
Taught VBS in Panted Bible Church for 2 yrs.
helped with GA’s for 3 yrs at OGBC
Served on Youth Committee at OGBC for 9-10 yrs
Served on Committee on Committees for 3 yrs
Served on Missions Committee for 3 yrs
Served on Benevolence Committee for 3 yrs
Taught Lifeline SS Class for 28 or so yrs.
Sang in choir maybe 8 or so years…maybe longer?
Helped with Cubbies in AWANA 2 yrs I think

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Participating in Bible Study Fellowship

Teaching in BSF and SS

Being discipled by strong Christians early in my walk with Christ

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Trouble in our marriage

failures in my walk with the Lord

failures in family relationships

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. I would speak to large groups and make a huge impact for Christ.

4. I would disciple individuals and encourage them to go all out for God.

5. I would go on mission trips and teach, encourage missionaries, serve any way I could.
