S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Debra Fleckenstein for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Serving (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel that I have this gift because I desire to show my love for Jesus by loving others through helping and serving in whatever capacity He leads me towards. It is His will that guides me and I love to serve Him!

#2 Gift, Giving (53%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
It gives me Joy, and I feel that it is a form of glorifying God’s name! Also, since I am a bit introverted, I like being a “sender” for those who minister to others.

#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (34%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I long to be a reflection of Christ’s mercy, and compassion, for us when He gave His life on the cross so that we might be saved. To be able to express that love through my actions toward others, I feel, speaks louder than words sometimes.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in the Catholic church, but left the church during High School. I went away from God for a time, but He did not leave me. He rescued me from a bad marriage. How He rescued me blew my mind and I couldn’t help but put everything in His hands. He showed me that He is God and there is no other! My faith in Jesus continues to grow, and be renewed, each and every day.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

First Church of God, Vero Beach, Florida, Children’s Ministry, 1985 – 1988

First Church of God, Miami, Florida, volunteered where needed, 1990- ?

Casas Church, Oro Valley, AZ, Women’s Ministry (off and on ) & Genuine ABF (Co-Director, hospitality), 2014 -2018.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I was one of nine children, and so I learned to have a kind and giving heart.

Meeting, and marrying, my husband of thirty years.

Giving birth to an amazing daughter at age 41!

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Growing up in a family with an alcoholic father.

Dating men who were not God’s choice for me.

Marrying a man who took, and sold, drugs and who was emotionally abusive.

  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those
