S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Abigail Del Río for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Teaching (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’m pretty surprised teaching is #1. I don’t feel I can stand in front of a classroom to teach. I do participate in class discussion to give my understanding of a particular topic. I feel I have a good understanding for the Word and the character of God. I know pretty well, when someone is not teaching truth.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I know what it is like to believe the lies of the enemy. When I discern the enemy speaking into someone’s life I try to expose him to the individual.

#3 Gift, Prophecy (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I occasionally have a dream, vision or word downloaded into my spirit. I can sometimes interpret a dream, not always though. I’m not sure what the question is asking because I don’t recall any questions about actual experiences.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1.

2.

3.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with the Latino population.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

During our “church hopping” phase (immediately following relocations), we visited many churches. The church in general is in a very sad state, almost stagnant.

It excites me that Journey has a Freedom Ministry, considering that most churches completely ignore the topic of deliverance. The church in general should be ashamed for ignoring such an important topic.

Journey’s youth program needs to be stepped up. My kids have no consistency at Journey youth. There have been 4 suicides at my kids High School in 1.5 school years. Youth program CANNOT be ignored. It is vitally important, especially in this age of confusion and questioned identity.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My parents became christian during my early teenage years. While at their legalistic church, that I hated, God made Himself very real to me. It is impossible for me to deny the existence of God. I was 13/14 years old.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

The Gate – Munster, Indiana – 2014-2016
WatchGuard Team – Prophetic Team that included Intersession and Deliverance

West Park AG – Cleveland – 1995-2010
Marriage Ministry

Calvary Spanish AG – 1990 – 1995
Youth Ministry

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

The Deliverance I found in Munster Indiana changed my life.

The progressive revelation of God

My family

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Severe demonic oppression and the lack of understanding of the church in this topic.

Difficulty in expressing myself.

Compulsive gambler father – he was a “man-child”
