S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Derek Rasco for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (96%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Empathy has always been my anchor in my faith. Unconditional love is the true magic of our creator, and I have always attempted to follow Him in those footsteps. I was incredibly blessed to have a family that exercised unconditional love through ministry, and many other integral aspects to life. God most definitely bestowed upon me a mother that exemplified these traits in spades.

#2 Gift, Pastoring/Shepherding (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
God has allowed me to be in the presence of true discipleship and spiritually leadership my entire life. I was also very fortunate in having parents that were stage performers and from an early age began public speaking. I love deeply the prospect of leading those to greater faith and Biblical understanding, and will always put myself in places that I might be utilized in that fashion.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I was raised in a family that put God first and sacrificed so much for His Kingdom.
God taught me from an early age watching my parents participate in missions work. I learned that many less fortunate don’t get the opportunity to know God intimately, or perhaps received misinformation. I will always aim to aid Our Father’s Holy journey to build his Kingdom, and to provide hope/salvation

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Storytelling. Whether that be in filmography, acting, or poetry

2. The great outdoors: I long to spend time in God’s creation, to be enamored by the great beauty he has made for us.

3. Making new relationships. Seeing the incredible intricacies woven into the fiber of each inimitable child of God. I love meeting and getting to know people, hearing their testimony and learning how Yahweh has brought them to him; and if they are not saved, an opportunity to be apart of that salvation.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with people of all ages! Those that have experienced life, have seen how necessary salvation is and aren’t afraid of the enemy. People that have chosen a life well lived with Christ because they have been through the hard times; and know that a life out of relationship with him, will always be unfulfilled.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I believe there is great need in organized Christianity; I have personally always been reticent of “Churchianity”. I hope to help ignite the hearts of Christians and help us look at our congregations with a magnifying glass, because I believe there is most definitely certain instances of dogma and lack of proper leadership. My heart deeply desires to connect those in the Kingdom to think BIG, and reach for God’s stars in each and every approach we take. I hope to one day see Christian Media compete with secular media, and fully utilize the technologies of man to serve GOD.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Born and raised in a Christian home. My folks taught me about Yahweh from very early on. My parents were Missionaries for over 10 years, raising us on support from the church. I accepted Christ as my savior when I was rather young, but dedicated my life to him when I was 13 when I began attending PRCA.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have never had a formal position with a ministry; I have only volunteered my time with ministries, both with my family, and on my own.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Bible Quizing! I travelled all over the western USA competing as apart of my church’s top team.

Working in an Mexican orphanage when I was a young boy, i’ll always be able to call to the memory of just how lucky I was to have a family.

Working for Disney as a character performer. Wonderful, coming of age experience; that helped me learn many great “guest service” principles.
Also, I was able to peek behind the vail and see that no magic really exists without God the Father.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Growing up with a father whom was deeply abused. I have never had to learn compassion and grace like I have through that relationship. ONLY by God’s grace.

Leaving home and living in Florida away from my safe haven of Christian Community. I learned a great many things; Chiefly: You can be in the “Happiest place on Earth” but sin runs rampant and leaves people (whom seemingly have the best job in the world) lonely and jaded.

Living in LA for 4 and a half years. Struggling to survive. Enduring an abusive marriage (living with my sister for a time). Gaining an exceptional amount of patience and grace through it. And 2020, starting my year in China, going through Quarantine there (almost getting stuck there) and returning to continue it in LA. Suffering a hard tragedy, a breakup, and loosing a family member back to back. Having a season of depression. But in the end, listening to God’s plan for me and for the first time, relinquishing control and trusting him fully. Thank you Father, you are so good!

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Help create a Christian Media resource that rivals any secular one

4. Travel the world sharing God’s truth, bringing his wealth to those most in need

5. Being prosperous enough to have and support a family, to become an earthly father.
