My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in a Christian home (parents Salvation Army officers) and as long as I can remember have always been a believer.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Participated in music ministries including band, choir and worship groups for 40+ years. This includes providing music at church, seniors homes and correctional facilities.

Lead youth music programs and conducted band. Participated as faculty at Christian music camps. (20 years)

ALPHA and small group leader. (15 years)

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Associating with well-educated, intelligent believers who shared similar experiences studying and working in a decidedly non-Christian system.

Finding a generous and welcoming church after a difficult and painful separation from my former home church.

Loving Christian parents that consistently modelled Christ centered living.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Inappropriate behaviour of pastor(s) and inadequate response by denominational leaders. (not FMC)

Conflict with a close relative inside the church over a significant period.

Older brother suffered from a young age with serious addiction and to lesser extent mental health problems.
