S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Melissa Murrish for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Mom said I should be a school teacher when I grow up…. I have taught preschool sunday school and VBS crafts numerous times. I loved playing school as a child and have enjoyed seeing my children learn through homeschooling.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I tend to give easily to those who have come on difficult times through no fault of their own. I have a difficult time giving to those who have made poor life choices and are now facing the consequences of those choices.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
In 4th grade I was baptized…because everyone else was… At 16, I really felt God talking to me and knew that my heart was not right with Him. I made a profession of faith and was baptized again. Though my faith has experienced highs and lows over the years, I’ve never doubted who my Savior is, or that I am saved by His grace.
First Baptist Merritt Island–taught preschool sunday school, VBS crafts, and worked at the fall festival each year
Grace Fellowship Church Rockledge–Welcome and church information booth, and activities information and sign up. Fall festival and Easter festival set up. Organized a team for the church for Relay for Life, for the American Cancer Society. Organized a small float for the Rockledge/Cocoa Christmas parade. The next year I organized a flatbed tractor trailer float for the parade.
First Baptist Church of South Brevard–played in the orchestra. Volunteered to help organize a church wide garage sale at the church.
High school–we had moved several times prior to high school and I’d found it difficult to make friends and feel part of a group. In high school I had a great group of friends and found a place to belong in a group–the band. I had a great youth group as well.
Graduating nursing school. Finding the determination to set your mind to something and work hard to achieve it without giving up.
Some of the most positive experiences have been when I’ve carved out time dedicated to spend with family (immediate and extended) and simply let go of trivial stuff and really found the joy in spending time with those I most love
Having a child (18 at the time-so an adult technically) run away from home and not knowing where he was for weeks. How difficult it is to cope with a difficult/strong-willed child.
Having friends who claim to be christians that set about ruining your character by seeking revenge over perceived slights and differences of opinion. A pastor who mediated a meeting stated afterwards “that Satan has them (the friends) all tied up in their pride and they are blind to the truth in front of them”. It was one of the most difficult times in my life.
A family member with emotional/mental issues, who has abused alcohol, drugs and tormented the family for years. I have compassion for families in the same circumstance, but little to no compassion for the tormentor. They leave a trail of destruction and brokenness….
