This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy bible study, preparing a study or sermon; I enjoy delivering a study or sermon, and usually get helpful, and specific feedback from several people. I believe I have the ability to teach as I also use this in my work with effect. I have always been able to explain concepts in a way that others can understand.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love telling those who don’t know Jesus about him, and his salvation. I find great joy in sharing what Jesus has done in my life, with others – Christians and non Christians. I am just not very good at making an opportunity, opening up a conversation, etc. but if the opportunity comes I am very glad to take it up!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I see this more as encouragement; I love encouraging others in their walk of faith, and I also feel for those who are suffering, and believe I can listen well, and show compassion and empathy. I am not so good at the exhortation when it involves an aspect of rebuke.

[H]eart

1. Teaching biblical truths, and sharing with others the love, grace of Jesus, and our Father, and how God works in this world and in our lives.

2. Drama. I love expressing truths, and stories in drama, and believe that drama has great power to bring biblical and Christian truths to people, who sometimes find it hard to hear words. Dramatic presentation can tap into one’s emotions in a powerful way.

3. Hospitality – having others into my home for meals and fellowship.

I love working with other Christians in the things of God’s Kingdom. I enjoy people of my own age, but also those younger than me, and in particular older teenagers, and young adults. I am most comfortable with people similar to me, but do believe that I am able to reach out to people who are different to me.

Being informed about Christians in other countries who are being persecuted, and regularly praying for them, as an individual but also as a congregation; also being informed and prayerful for suffering people of any faith, in the world, for refugees, and those in war torn countries.

My parents taught me about God, and the salvation of Jesus from a very young age, and I have always believed Christian truths, and followed Jesus. My faith and trust in Him has developed and deepened over many years, as I have gone through the ups and downs of life, and of faith.

Sunday School – Unley Brethren, Adelaide. About 3 years.
Youth ministy – Aldgate Baptist. Mainly in a support role; hospitality to youth, helping with camps, leading a group etc. About 6 years.
Women’s ministry – Aldgate Baptist. About 10 years. Mainly bible studies, and Craft outreach ministry.
Eldership – Aldgate Baptist. 17 years.
Share ministry – hospitality to people recovering from mental health issues – Aldgate Baptist. About 7 years.
Church rep on Hills Combined Churches Committee – Aldgate Baptist. About 6 years.

Being brought up in a Christian home with parents who loved the Lord.

Having very dear, and close friends over many years, who are truly sisters and brothers in Christ, to me.

Being a mother to 4 sons, and all that goes with that!

Being brought up in the Exclusive Brethren, and leaving there when I was 18, so not knowing anything much of the world, or having any friends when we left, as I had to leave them all behind.

My father having a total mental breakdown when I was a teenager. My parents both dying quite young, when I was only 20 (Mum’s death), and 26 (Dad’s death).

Going through a marriage break up and divorce.
