My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I became a Christian at a very young age. I have attended church my entire life and love learning about God. I got sanctified at 17 and I strive to live my life as Christ like as possible. I know that without Christ in my life I would not be able to face the daily challenges that come my way.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Sunday school teacher of 3-4 year olds. Nursery worker

Planned and cooked meals. Including planning, organizing and cooking for the large ragbrai event a few years ago.

Ran the cafe for 3 years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Going on the mission trip to Jamaica a couple years ago.

Singing in the choir and having fellowship with the other members.

Attending Sunday school and continuing to study the Bible.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Going through a divorce 18 years ago was devastating to me but I feel that I now can help others that are going through the same thing.

I was in a very bad car accident in 2005 and lost the use of my left arm for almost 2 years as well as having my best friend die in that accident. I have regained most of the use of my arm but I definitely have more compassion for physically handicapped people.

My son was put in jail and I found myself, to my disappointment, having to go to court to, pick him up from jail and drive him to work when he was on work release, sit in the jail waiting room to wait my turn for visitation, ask jail ministers to have extra prayer with him after their ministry sessions, etc. It was a devastating time for our entire family but God helped all of us to stay strong and positive. It drew me and my son closer to God. I met and was able to witness to many people during his stay in jail.
