Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in church thinking I was a Christian. I prayed a prayer, but never experienced true change. I drifted away from Christ for many years. At 28, I found myself living overseas and newly married, but soon after my life crumbled from the weight of my own sin. After crying out for God to cleanse and change my heart, pledging to serve him for the rest of my life, he regenerated me into new life. And so, from that point until now, I have obediently served him and will do so until I take my last breath.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Tryon Evergreen Baptist Association, Conroe, TX 2.5 years involved as Associate Director of Missions.

International Mission Board, (Turkey, across Central Asia, London), 15 years as church planter/team leader reaching Muslims across the Central Asian world for the gospel.

Maersk, Inc. Morristown, NJ, 5 years in sales in both Houston and Atlanta offices. While employed at Maersk, I led small groups in my home, was heavily involved in lay leadership/missions/outreach.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Getting married to my spouse who never stopped praying for my salvation.

Persevering through some pretty major life storms.

My time overseas with the IMB (and adopting my daughter Noel as a result of obedience to God’s calling on my life as a missionary) has helped me have more sensitivity toward those from other cultures.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I’ve lost everything twice and gained it (and more) back through God’s mercy.

I’ve embraced the World head-on and can testify to its bitter fruit.

I’ve seen pride wreck my life (and almost my marriage).

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. I would lead churches in my association to develop strategic partnerships with specific ministries happening in a specific region of the world.

4. I would lead 100 faithful men to Christ who would then disciple 10 more converts and perpetuate this over the next several generations.

5. My daughter and future husband would serve on the mission field reaping a harvest for the Kingdom
