This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I get great joy from sharing how I became a believer, and by God’s grace have led others to believing in Jesus. I have been involved in evangelical efforts that resulted in salvation for those who heard.

I am almost always involved in teaching God’s people, with a passion to see us grow and identify the gift God has given, and learn to be led of the Spirit to maximize those gifts.

I am driven to give of myself, and desire to have more to give in growing the church. More often I am involved in helping on a personal level. Of course giving to the ministries of the church is also involved in giving of myself. God has blessed be to be able to do both more often than not.

I love to work with young to older adults. I love to work with people of different socio economic status, rich, middle class, poor. I love to work with people with different challenges, addiction, mental health, poverty, anything that would hinder a person from believing they are a person of worth in the eyes of God.

Growth ministries, or fresh expressions excite me most. I am concerned about the way followers of Christ are impacted by the circumstances of everyday life. I believe there is a disconnect, and that spirit of power and sound mind is not experienced as it should be.

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

During a difficult time in my life in 1972, I experienced the love of God while trying to run away from my problems. I went back home to Jamaica looking for answers, and the answer I found in a small church in Swallowfield, Kingston, JA, is Jesus. I recommitted while I was in the military, and have been following Christ

I went through a divorce that was devastating. Really left me compassionate with those who are facing these challenges, as well as single parenting as I was a single parent as a result.

My experience as an assistance to the pastor at both Rogers UMC as well as Vamo UMC was not good. Discontent between pastoral office and congregation was very discouraging. Gave good insight into the challenges facing UM conference as well as local churches. This experience has helped me clarify my role as a UM pastor.

Leaving the ministry of the United Methodist church gave me time to reflect on God’s call for my life. I realized that the duty of the pastoral office have nothing to do with the actual assignment, but the office itself. Even though Church of the Revelation was small, I was able to learn the importance of inclusivity. I can empathize with others who are battling through the challenges that have to do with how to lead an effective ministry, and hopefully one day can be involved in helping others find that place of fulfillment.
