S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Dorothy for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I really feel God’s love in the many ways He has been gracious and forgiving to me. It brings me a lot of joy to share my experiences of God’s grace because I truly believe He does that for others too. I hope they can see it and find peace in Him.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel like it’s not my place to judge others. I’ve done bad things too and I hope I don’t get labelled or defined by my past mistakes. I believe no one aspires to be evil as a kid. Something must’ve happened.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I think everyone is amazing and can do great things. Usually when we are down is because we have fears and I hope everyone can find God so they can live up to who He created them to be.
[H]eart
1. I love problem solving. I believe if we can make something better, than we should. Learning how to build a website, figuring how to best do marketing and figuring out how to best help people really drive me.
2. I like to make my family laugh. It brings me joy when I know they are happy.
3. Creating brings me joy. I feel like it could help someone or make someone happy when they share the experience.
I like people who are open for all sorts of possibilities, like nothing is a bad idea. I like people who ask why and not make a list of reasons about why something is impossible. I don’t mind the age group as long as they believe in possibilities.
I like to work with people who actually work to change. It’s hard to work with people who have their mind set on something.
Church issues…maybe off topic, but I feel like our church doesn’t address sex beyond “don’t do it outside of marriage”. There needs to be a bigger conversation within the church especially when the world media is promoting casual sex or sexual activities as self-care and empowerment.
In terms of ministry, I always felt like the Sparrows ministry could be more known. I like what they do. I just think it feels so segregated from the rest of the church community.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
Grew up in a Christian family but walked away from God. After a few years of challenging years, God pulled me right back.
nowhere
Being unemployed has made me really rely on Christ and more clear in what I need to do.
Starting my studio now. I got really kind responses from people. I feel like I am understanding that God is guiding the way.
My singleness. It is teaching me trust Him.
Abusing drugs – It taught me to not judge people and understand that those who hurts others are suffering too
High school was a bad time. I was very very depressed with no confidence which eventually led to bad decisions later. I think for every person who may have been bad like me, they were going through hard times and there was no guidance for them, but it doesn’t make them a bad person.
A really bad dating experience
