S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Dawn Summers for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I grew up in a Christian home as a Missionary/Pastor’s kid. I have been in church my whole life. I accepted Jesus as a young child and was baptized. As a teenager I began to develop my own sense of my relationship with Christ. Through various challenges I have grown closer to Him.
As a missionary kid, I grew up serving in all sorts of capacities helping my parents.
Awana Ministry – Avondale Baptist Church – KC, MO – High School
Youth Ministry – Avondale Baptist Church – KC, MO – Young Married – 5 Years
Music Ministry – Avondale Baptist Church – KC, MO – High School through Young Married – 8+ years
Music Ministry – PVBC – Liberty, MO – 4+ years
Awana Ministry – PVBC – Liberty, MO – 10 years
Leadership – PVBC – 3+ years
My youth leaders played a major role in my life when I was a teenager. They loved me and I learned so much from them, even some things that were hard to learn.
Being in various community group settings have allowed some tremendous growth just from accountability and love from fellow Christians.
Being a Mom has changed me in more ways than I can list, but it has been a tremendous growing opportunity for me as I have learned to lean on Him more and more.
A situation of sexual abuse as a child, though difficult, allowed me to go through a tremendous healing process and has given me a heart for other girls in the same situation.
Having a very hard time having children of our own initially and then being blessed with 3 beautiful girls, who are truly miracles, was a time of learning to trust God’s timing and His ways in a way that has changed me deeply.
The sudden and traumatic loss of my sister-in-law at the age of 38 rocked my world in a way that I never could have imagined. Going through the deep grief process and the continued reality of loss has taught me so much about God’s comfort and love in a way I never understood before.
