[E]xperience
As a teenager, I gave my life to Christ, and was baptized by immersion in a Southern Baptist Church. Did not fully understand my decision until I was 18, when I was searching and visiting different kinds of churches. Settled in another Southern Baptist Church and decided to be re-baptized to proclaim my decision to follow Jesus. Have been growing in faith and knowledge since then.
1973-1976 Potomac Baptist Church, Sterling, VA – assisted my husband who was Minister of Youth and Music, taught Sunday School to 12-13 year old boys

1981-1988 Capitol Hill Metropolitan Baptist Church, Washington, DC, pastor’s wife, active in women’s ministry and choir and Evangelism Explosion ministry, did admin/bookkeeping work for church child care center.
1988-1994 Tysons Community Church, helped plant a church with my husband who was the pastor. Served in any capacity to help grow the church, led discipleship groups, worked with children, admin work.

Being in Sunday school class with other seminary wives while in seminary, led by the pastor’s wife. Learned so much about ministry life.
Having progressively more managerial roles in my professional life. While I do not view myself as a leader, I have moved up to leadership roles.
Going through the Navigator’s 2:7 discipleship course made a huge impact on my life by helping me develop spiritual habits to help me grow.
I struggle with low self-esteem that has hindered me from reaching out to others when I should have, too self-focused.
Struggles in our marriage. Several times I felt like giving up, but so happy that we worked through our struggles to build our relationship to the strong bond we share today.
Going through some problems with our adult son who has made some mistakes.
