S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Becky Eaddy for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel that I have the gift of giving because I am enthusiastic with the giving of my time and resources. I grew up in a Christian home and I was taught about giving to God from an early age.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to serve. I do not feel comfortable delegating, but I do love to help if asked. I love to help others in need by checking on people, bringing food, or sending cards of encouragement.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel that I have mercy showing as a spiritual gift because of my “always thinking of others” personality. I also tend to be more reserved until I really know someone. Being a mom of 2 and in a career working with volunteers I always put others before myself.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I grew up in a Southern Baptist home. We attended church every Sunday morning, GAs, youth group, VBS, etc. . My parents have always been involved with church and I have been taught that God always comes first. We went to Jamestown Baptist Church in Conway, SC until I was 8. Then we moved to Pawleys Island Baptist Church. I was saved when I was 10 years old after attending VBS the summer before I turned 11 years old and I was baptized in the Pawleys Island creek. We moved closer to Surfside Beach just before I graduated from high school. Then we moved to First Baptist of Myrtle Beach, where I am still a member. My husband and I have been married since 2005. My husband grew up Methodist. We have been attending church since we were married and we haven’t found our church “home” yet. We started coming to FBCMI in January 2019 and this is the first time we have felt “home”.
