S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Eddy for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Finance is a very interesting discipline to me since it involves a lot of logic, numbers, and analysis while discouraging emotion, short-term thinking, and selfishness. I have been prioritizing tithing since I was an intern in college and it’s something I enjoy doing. I also enjoy giving my time and expertise, those are just not as measurable and dollars and cents.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I look up to a lot of people who are able to teach well and concise. I try to learn to be like them. I enjoy listening to their speeches and interviews. I believe this is still my weakest of the 3 gifts.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I really enjoy leading, and interacting with, people because I am an extrovert and because I enjoy strategizing how to best accomplish a goal while helping the team grow. I am goal oriented, I like to get things done. I like knowing a little of everything and finding people’s strengths in order to help them find their role. I also enjoy having time to think of long-term and big-picture goals.

1. Socializing.
Whenever I take one of those personality tests, the introvert/extrovert section is always way over to the extrovert side. My favorite memories are from sharing experiences with people. My emptiest days are days in which I did not get to interact with anyone.
2. Learning.
I am very intrigued by the ideas of others. I always want to know more of why people believe what they believe and how they apply it to their lives. I like challenging people’s ideas and seeing how they react. I do enjoy learning practical skills but the conversations I enjoy most are about morality, truth, and controversial topics. I have been known to ask too many questions and I honestly just cannot help it. I am curious about a lot of things and I don’t understand why others don’t ask more questions.
3. Physical activity.
I am very energetic and if I have a lazy day, I do not sleep well. I enjoy sports, hikes, physical labor, really anything that can get me moving. I am a thinker for sure but I prefer to be thinking while on the move.
I prefer working with people older than me because they tend to provide wisdom and maturity. I do not have much patience for disorganized, immature, or stupid people. This is probably why I only enjoy dealing with kids in small doses. After a while I just get annoyed. Working with older people allows me to ask them about their experiences so I can learn from their mistakes. Older people also tend to be less emotional and I do not like emotional people, I like logical thinkers and doers.
I worry about Bible passages that do not get talked about at church, especially on Sunday services. I believe every single verse of TheBible should make it to multiple sermons in every church. Bible passages are often ignored due to the church staff’s inability to admit that they might be wrong about a passage interpretation or due to society’s inability to discuss politically incorrect ideas. I do not care about being politically correct and I do not respect closed minds.
I worry about instances when people discuss, or preach about, individual Bible verses. This is disrespectful to the writers of TheBible because ideas can be taken out of context so easily and this can diverge the audience from the original intent of that chapter of TheBible. This then creates division between churches.
Missions get me quite excited. I have been on 2 short term missions and would like to go on more. There is so much benefit that comes from short term missions both for the area hosting the missionaries and the missionaries themselves. I do not feel called for long term missions but I do respect those who answer that calling.
I am also excited about small groups. There is a lot to be gained from discussing TheWord and opening up about issues to those who live nearby.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. Run a tech company to build technologies that can benefit the world, and that frankly, I believe should already exist.
4. Spending more time in finance. This would include learning about finance, teaching others about finance, and investing more. All with the goal of people being able provide a larger tithe and not need assistance from the government.
5. Coach a Soccer team to teach Biblical ideas through sports.
