S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Ellen Raczek for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel I have this gift because I am open to many things. I don’t close my heart to those who are in pain or in need of help. I look for a way to help those who need help and I do my best to help them where I can. Sometimes this can come in the form of just a few encouraging words, maybe a verse from the bible or perhaps just finding a connection with another person.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have the ability to motivate those who have lost their way. I feel that the Lord has given me this ability so that I may help those who have lost the Lord, find the Lord once again.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
The Lord gave me the gift of showing mercy. This he did through all that I have been through in my past. I apply it to those I meet who are in similar situations or face similar problems that I have dealt with in the past and I try to find a way to help them through a difficult time.
[H]eart
1. I love being around kids and children. Their spirit lifts mine and I love to work with them be it in an art project or just reading a story or rocking a crying child to sleep.
2. I love to read and I can often get lost in a good book. Recently I have taken to reading the bible more and more. I am enjoying getting to know more about my Lord and my path and journey.
3. I enjoy art and creation of pretty things. I like to color, draw, write, pretty much anything that creates something for the enjoyment of others to see.
I don’t have a certain age that I prefer or love to work with more than any other. I think that everyone is special. I do have a soft spot in my heart for preteens and teens. I think that sometimes they may be misunderstood and feel that they have no one to talk to and I enjoy being the person that they can turn to when they feel that they have no one else to talk to.
I am more excited when it comes to the kids. For some reason, I like to keep the kid’s interest and to keep them on the right path. There are so many chances for them and so many temptations in this world that they need the right guidance so when it comes to anything in regards to preteens and the teens I get excited when they are put on the right path.

[E]xperience
I have always believed in the Lord and felt him in my life. I have attended church was baptized as a child and attended many different factions. I have been to a Baptist Church, a Luthern Church, a Catholic Church, and a Christian Church. To me, it was not a matter of one being better than the other it was a matter of your faith in the lord. My best church experience was one where I attended a nondenominational church. There was free prayer time when you were able to pray however it was you felt you needed to pray and the services were never about anything other than the lessons of the bible. As I got older, it just seemed as if I didn’t need to be IN a church to appreciate or believe in the lord and I felt that just believing was enough. It was my daughter who showed me the error of my thinking. She asked me to go with her to a fourth of July gathering that the church she is a member of the youth group was having. Being as we were separated from most of our family and had no plans I was happy to go with her. When I was there, I was welcomed as if I was a part of the family. I was made to feel like I belonged, I felt like that was a place I needed to be. After that gathering I started to attend church with my daughter on Sundays, and then attending bible study in the morning before service and the more I was there, the more I felt like it was where I needed to be. Shortly, I want to say within a couple of months I truly started to see my loss of my journey with the lord and wanted to get back on the right path. I got lost on my walk and somehow lost my fathers hand and here I was searching for it again. My daughter and I were baptized back into the Lord’s light and we both joined the church. Since then I have eagerly been in my bible studies and enjoying being back on my path and my journey with the Lord at my side this time. I am still learning and I think I will always be learning in this journey, but to be one with my father again has brought my soul a feeling of peace and I am finding more joy in my life.
My daughter showing me the openness of her church and how welcoming that they were to me.
Taking care of and raising my 4 brothers and sisters and seeing how they have grown.
Having my daughter and being blessed with the gift of a child.
I was molested by my father at the age of 5 until I was 7. My mother telling me at 7 years old that I was a liar and being put into foster care until I was 10 years old.
Seeing my mother being not just verbally but physically abused by my biological father.
Being cheated on by every man in my life that I ever loved or gave my heart to.
