This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have been a teaching aid for a while now. And even when I wasn’t a teaching aid, I used it as a tool to help me understand better. So when it comes to teaching the Bible I enjoy teaching it because I learn what’s in it and reteach to someone to understand it better.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Now, this is an interesting one because I have a way of evangelizing (don’t really care for the word, sometimes bad connotation). My way includes speaking to them about who God is in my life and answering questions. I have the belief that the Lord doesn’t need us to shove our beliefs down their throats, but give them a choice of if they want to learn and grow more. Just as we got a choice. So we plant the seed and God’s will allows for others to come and water the seed. Or even us watering the seed if it’s already been planted. And hopefully one day that plant be able to blossom.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love encouragement. Part of the reason why I was a cheerleader. I believe that we as humans are our worst enemies and our biggest critics. So if I could be a voice that is saying something different than the one that is in their head. I want to do that.

[H]eart

1. Singing. I love the environment that worship brings.

2. I enjoy giving others joy. My love language is giving/gifts. If I can make a person’s day or life my heart skips a beat for that.

3. I love learning about other people. Their lives, their upbringing, who they are. I think that’s part of the reason I speak but also love to listen to stories. Bc, I enjoy story-telling whether that be through movies, shows anything.

I like working with college-aged kids the most. I have the most experience with them and feel the most comfortable around them.

[E]xperience

My sister was a Christian at the time, the one within the household. She always expressed her love for God. And it made my mother take us to church more often than we went. On Sunday, Easter Sunday, we got there late and I wasn’t paying attention at all. At the end of the sermon, the pastor did the alter call. And we were on the balcony so looking at the screen. And he said something along the lines of ‘Its time, God is calling you.’ And it seemed as if he was pointing straight at me and my heart jumped and before I knew it I was heading down to become saved.

When in HS I served in the choir for about two years. An alto. At my family church.

When in college I was also in a gospel choir that was in the school. An alto for one year and then a soprano for the other.

Also in college, a group of students including myself created a ministry on campus focused on the black community. We did events that mimicked a Sunday service. With worship, a sermon, and an altar call.

My testimony surrounding getting into GA State DPT program. Teaching me pateince for God’s timing and trusting in His plans and not following my own.

Being a part of a large friend group. Something I hadn’t experienced before and was a learning curve for me.

Travel: gave me the ability to see different world views and be respectful of them
Being a chaplain: allowed me to understand different religions and be respectful of all of those religions as well as continuing to be respectful of my own

My experience with the spiritual world. That brought a sense of fear but also strength as I began to overcome and grow strong within the Lord

Experiencing a lot of dreams concerning me being in the shoes of someone who is going through trauma. Giving me that glimpse has helped me understand their world view but also provide me more understanding when praying for them.

When I first came to Christianity I struggled with sin in my own life and called out others for their shortcomings. And it took a trusted older sister to express her hurt by me for me to desire to change my ways. And understand that that is not the way.
