[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love running Track and Cross Country. Being a part of athletics has given me the opportunity to minister to many other youth athletes, of whom look up to me. In addition, I have met countless opponents who have encouraged me as well.

2. Being outdoors and adventuring brings joy into my life. I love exploring nature and getting to see all the beautiful things of which God has created.

3. Service is something of which I have always had a heart for. Ever since I was little, I was been one who is willing to give to anyone, despite what I may receive in return. This bring true fulfillment and joy into my life by seeing the good that can be done for those around me. There are many people who we often don’t get to know, because we are unwilling, however, through service, God often reveals these people to us and uses them to build us up as well, which amazes me.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work with both my peers and elderly. I love getting to be a mentor for my teammates in my athletics and have also always had a huge heart for elderly and love to be in their presence, hear their wisdom, and see their smiles. It truly warms my heart.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I am brought excitement by the topic of the spreading and studying in depth of God’s Word for the benefit of believers. In addition, it warms my heart to see the love in the hearts of people who are less fortunate. I see a big need for youth needing the confidence to be different, and stand out in their faith, despite the typical stereotypes.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in the church and upon his Word. I have had an exceptionally good life and have always been very faith-driven. A big part of my lie has always been God and I have continued to stay very enthusiastic in my faith throughout high school, even when that has meant not being the most desired friend or not being considered as the “fun” one. God has never failed to guide my life and the experiences that I have been through in order to grow in Him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Grace Chapel, Brazil IN, Children’s Ministry, 5 years

SOS (Serving on the Streets), Brazil IN, I have served meals, done foot washings, and given out shoes to the less fortunate in my community, 2 years

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes),Brazil IN, a club at Northview High School that I lead in devotions, 4 years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

FCA – Being a leader in this club at my school has drawn me towards greater spiritual confidence and boldness and has allowed me to have more opportunity to leave some Jesus behind at Northview High School.

As an athlete, I have gotten to grow due to the many peers around me who have encouraged me and I have prayed with during running events.

My mom has been a huge spiritual impact in my life. She has been my best friend for my entire life; but an even better friend when I had no one else. She taught me to love like Jesus loves, and to lean on Him within my struggles.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Running has brought about some health obstacles that caused me to refocus and find that my true identity is found in Jesus Christ, rather than my athletic achievements.

I have had friends who have not always stuck by me due to my faith, however, this led me to new friends and a deeper relationship with God throughout my struggles.

I have a friend who is going through cancer who is bringing a whole new thankfulness into my life and is showing me the beautiful love of God that can radiate through her sickness.
